What should my Pvp main be and list why
-
I like seeing sunbreakers in pvp. I think in terms of concept it is one of the coolest. It's just a little inconsistent and the neutral game isn't very good.
-
Play what makes you happy but Nightstalker is one of the strongest classes. Here are the statistics to back it up. http://destinytracker.com/destiny/population
-
Gunslinger is fun. No armor for super so has to play smart. Incendiary bouncy. Throwing knife still viable after some damage. Gunplay perks and ability cool-down perks are awesome.
-
Nightstalker definitely has the largest skill cap of the three. I would go nightstalker since if you are a skilled player, there's more you can do. Also run spike grenade, it's great if u are good with it.
-
Depends. For 6s, I use Gunslinger. For 3s, Bladedancer with Tarantella for 2-3 supers a trials match.
-
I'm usually playing my Titan. But when I play on my Hunter, Gunslinger is the way to go.
-
Sunbreaker is too weak gunslinger is too inconsistent. Night stalkers have shade step and will soon get double wombo do I need to say more.
-
Sunbreaker imo. The others are good as well but a breaker is more adaptable. It is the Titan sub with most options and it shows. It will be the hardest of the three to learn but when you do it will be the one that has the biggest impact. Just remember to play to its strengths and make a full build. Not just the perks, load outs and gear alignment as well.

So I play Sunbreaker because it's fun but if you're looking to just be the best go with nightstalker. As a nightstalker you literally roam around slow snare kill and generally disable other players. Think about each of those abilities for a moment. To snare: basically no other subclass can do this. To Slow: again no other subclass can slow an opponent down. Titans can only blind opponents temporarily. To kill: literally any other class can do this but currently only 6 of the 9 subclAsses have roaming offensive supers. Three of which are hunter subclasses. To disable: other than nightstalkers only one other subclass had this capability. Defenders get a grenade that momentarily disrupts other players. Nightstalker is literally the best class if used properly. It does what all 9 other subclasses do and more.

Gunslinger because pew pew

Depends on your play style. I personally prefer Gunslinger or Bladedancer (I know, not on the list) but here's how I would put it. Sunbreaker if you want to obliterate just about everything during a super, (Don't even bother with the melee, Shoulder Charge is a better bet) be that guy that uses Cauterize like those that use Life Steal and Hungering Blade, and have one good grenade, Fusion grenades. (Thermites are situational, Incendiaries are decent) Gunslinger if you want the farthest range melee that requires some skill and one of the best abilities to kill people during a super even if it isn't as effective as it was before the Hunter rebalance. Don't bother with any grenades but Incendiaries (I know I said these were decent on Sunbreakers, but its all Gunslingers have now), Tripmines got an undeserved nerf (I miss making unicorn guardians ;( ) and Swarm grenades are a hit or miss at best. (Better off using Bladedancer's Skip grenades) Nightstalker if you're all for the nerfed Wombo Combo and super that isn't as effective at killing, but can shutdown supers or prevent their use. Use Vortex grenades or Voidwall grenades, Spike grenades are as bad here as they are on Defenders.

Gunslinger because nightstalker is aids and sunbreaker is kinda boring imo

I can't answer this. What subclass I use depends on how the enemy team is playing. I main a hunter and use gunslinger when the enemies are scattered, bladedancer when they're all rushing, and Nightstalker when the whole team is camping. What kind of match we're in is also a factor. If you stick to a single subclass all the time, no matter the class, I feel it takes away from the purpose of the game. I might stick to my hunter, but the subclasses get rotated on the regular. I say master them all and be a jack of all trades. It'll be even better if you master both the hunter and the titan. Good luck guardian

In fact, take advantage of the mayhem playlist. Since you don't have to wait long for supers and abilities to charge, it makes it easy to test out different skill perks, combos, etc
-
Depends, if you're Gud, like really really Gud, Gunslinger. If you like to be annoying, Nightstalker, if you want something between the two, Sunbreaker
-
I am loving sunbreaker in PVP. I run sun charge, cauterize, and the perk that increases movement on solar kills. It is beastly. Simmering flames is also good.

Edited by KaratekAlan: 9/11/2016 7:55:40 PMSun breaker is out of the discussion for a main. The only thing it really has going for it is that you can spec double fusions recharging at 12.5 seconds if specced appropriately. The super is very difficult to use and someone can easily jump around and avoid it even if you lead your shots. I only use it in Mayhem and do very well with it because I can use suncharge to counter everything. Other than the fusion grenades. the neutral game is awful. The melee has the worst damage and range of any other melee, and the perks that you can spec for it are useless. Both Nightstalker and Gunslinger are very good choices for a main, I would get familiar with them both. Nightstalker has arguably the best neutral game in the whole game, and I would suggest pairing keen scout with graviton forfeit. That way, you have a detailed radar, an evade that can dodge tracking grenades, and a grenade/melee combo that can kill people fairly quickly, although it is not guaranteed like it once was. The super is not great, but use black hole and you can tether people from very far away. Gunslinger has an excellent super game and a mediocre neutral game. The super will beat any other super 1 on 1 because of it being hit scan, having high aim assist, and having enough damage to 1 shot any super, including a striker mid fist of havoc. However, don't use it stupidly while you are weak or while others see you because you don't get damage reduction while in it. The neutral game is decent, but not as good as nightstalker in my opinion. Throwing Knife is still great, and if you can aim with it can save you in situations that you really should have died in. I don't really like tripmine, and I find that I kill myself with it more than others. Use it if you are good with it, but otherwise just use incendiary. Hope you appreciate my insight :) Edit: To avoid having to make the same points in these replies, here are some more things: While I maybe bashed sun breaker neutral game a little too hard, compared to the others I just feel it is outclassed, and at best barely matches gunslinger neutral game. The melee is the worst of the 3, and while you can get multi kills with thermal vent, this is not going to happen very often. It has the lowest range in the game, the least instant damage, and to top it off, thermal vent doesn't even do full damage most of the time. As for the grenades, incendiary is a good choice, but gunslingers can (and probably will spec it most of the time), so you are left with grenades that match gunslinger nades and a melee that is outclassed.

Voidwalker
-
Voidwalker. Think FoH, but throwable. Stormcaller-Seventh Column.
-
Sunbreaker can at least take a few hits, Nightstalker has the best grenades/melee combo Gunslinger... Decent nade/melee, good for kills, but terribly weak in super. If you don't fire first, you're dead.
