Is there a reason besides consistency with the rest? I thought non-hitscan were already at a disadvantage so why should they be the same?
Edit: queens choice is why I used sidearms and usually just that one. The others don't feel right to me. So this is really hitting home for me since this weapon is why I used the weapon type at all

My fav sidearm after Dreg's. I know people hate the Dreg's, but I manage to do well with it. This nerf was unecessary, imo.
-
Queen's Choice was my absolute favorite side arm. I used it a lot in PvE, when I played non-raid activities. It was pretty decent in crucible, but shotguns are still my go to Anyhow, since it is "non-hitscan" it doesn't make sense that it would need a special nerf because it doesn't instantaneously land shots when the trigger is pulled. Meaning: it has travel delay. It is already at a "disadvantage" so why nerf? Not only that, it is also hard to acquire. Even harder when you don't play CoE... Technically impossible. Anyhow, I am very disappointed with this nerf. Sadly I don't think this will get much traction since the weapon is fairly rare. Here's a BUMP anyhow, though!

I used to literally insta scrap every sidearm that dropped, I disliked them that much. But I do look twice at the weapons I get from Variks and when I got this QC I was pleasantly surprised and comverted. I can't snipe or shotgun very well and it became a nice alternative to a fusion in pvp since I play a cqc style. Even in pve I found it fun. I do not understand the reasoning as to why this specific gun was singled out. They have stated it will hit harder in pve so I haven't lost total hope but I think I'm back to Plan C in pvp.

I can't kill anything with it now.
-
Was my favorite sidearm, now there's none, thanks bugnie!
-
It was a 3 shot kill with aggressive ballistics which is pretty damn crazy. Faster TTK than TLW. If it was hitscan it would've been better than almost any HC
-
I used the queens choice jokingly in trials last week and I killed a guy twice maybe I killed a streamer
-
Because it was the queen's choice 😂
-
My friend has one with aggressive ballistics, reactive reload and crowd control, it's so broken it's like a damn hand held heavy machine gun.
-
Because bunghole got drunk one night and said "let's nerf queens choice"
-
I noticed just now in crucible my queens choice only does random damage. Some bullets don't register at all?!
-
I have no idea why they would nerf a gun that very few guardians were using, bungie logic I guess.
-
I HATE this nerf. More powerful than normal hitscan sidearms, but obviously not hitscan itself. Perfectly balanced and yet you never saw it in Crucible. Why nerf ANYTHING when it comes to sidearms? Leave it alone!
-
Because bungie doesn't make any sense. They basically took a gun no one would use anyways over Hakke sidearms and made it so you SHOULDN'T use it over hakke sidearms.
-
It was a beast I have two of them and their time to kill is considerably lower than other side arms. With the buffs across the board to the guns they had to or you'd potentially be two shotting people with them with the right perks proc'd
-
Edited by ManBlaster: 9/10/2016 2:13:42 PMI am in the same sinking boat amigo, the hakke are hitscan and IMO unreliable for a hitscan weapon but to nerf the non-hitscan sidearm that actually could carry its own weight really can ONLY be justified by the fact that they want you to use the NEW sidarms they made and stop using the others the hakke buff was to keep up appearances they still don't hold a candle to the queens choice. Never have I heard a single dude say any sidearm was OP. I understand some guns earn their nerfs but the queen's choice? just give it back its little chunk of damage and leave the damn peashooters alone. absolutely absured. they want us to use something other than a shotty or a snipe then don't nerf the most underrated guns before they even show signs of being powerful or threaten your 'balance'. hell let them shine for awhile if just so you see that 'loadout stagnation' bungie mentioned dissipate for atleast a while. or to say it in Trumpian "Make Sidarms Great For Once"
-
What's queens choice?
-
QC is my favourite gun in special slot, is the nerf so bad?
-
Queens Choice does have higher base range and stability than other sidearms. That's it's one advantage at this point
-
The only logical explanation is that it's going to have something to do with the 100 new sidearms we are apparently getting in RoI. Otherwise it doesn't really make much sense.
-
i was super happy to get my arc QC on Tuesday (only need the void now) . but was super disappointed in the nerf . come on Bungie please for the love of god stop messing with things that are not broke. i hate using shot guns and snipers . so i have to run a sidearm or fusion in pvp .
-
If you can get the trespasser you will never think about queen's choice again
-
Queen's Choice needing Aggressive Ballistics to four shot to the body is a pretty big turn off; might be better off going for a Crow's Eye that has Linear Compensator now.
-
One of the last best kept secrets.
-
Beside bungie wants hit scan weapons to be bad. The Hakke ones got buffed enough to be awesome though
-
If you have Vestian Dynasty from yr 1 use it, it's still the best.
