My Problem with Snipers
When I play crucible I normally don't use snipers. I feel like snipers are really cheap, and don't feel like snipers at all. A real sniper has to be completely still to get there shot. You never see an actual military sniper swinging their gun wildly to the right and pulling the trigger just for the universe to grant them a magic space bending bullet that whizzes to someone's head. I've thought a lot about it, and with the crazy amount of damage they do, I personally don't think they should get any aim assist at all. Thoughts?

32 RepliesThe reason there is aim assist on consoles, is because you can't be as precise as you need to be to use a sniper. We are playing on a stick that controls reticle acceleration rather than distance so the slow down when it crosses an enemy is meant to compensate for that lack of precision. 1 ReplyMy fav sniper is uzume rr4 with the lowest aim assist in the game. Try it. You would not be using high aim assist snipers after that, it's garbage.

Yes I agree with you that's why I would prefer a movement sway put in when moving with a sniper and more scope time added just so it not easy to down a close Incounter but Nerfing so it can't down a roaming super was unnecessary.

Because real life snipers are "used" to shoot down guys that blink or fly in the air without moving at all..Is this what you are saying here?

My only problem with snipers is that they have pretty much yanked any maps that catered to close range gun play. 9/10 maps right now have massive sniper lanes and cater to long range engagements. I don't like playing The anomaly every match as much as anybody else does, but at least maps like that break up the monotony of playing nothing but snipers, scouts and pulses every game.
