This is why I hate mainstream media (this is unrealistic and not to mention radically feminist). You can't get into dating expecting to go somewhere like this. The point of dating is to get to know someone you're romantically interested in, and to see who's the right one for you; it's not like that "love at first sight" scenario that the media promotes whatsoever. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't; if it does, it does. It still baffles me as to how people think that if you're dating, you're already on your way to the altar, and that it's going to be "forever". High school communities: they don't understand how insignificant high-school phases are in the grand scheme of things.
