So a while ago we were able to reroll our weapons and find that perfect roll, but when TTK dropped we weren't able to anymore. I don't know why it was taken away but that actually made the gunsmith super useful and I wish they'd bring it back.
Every damn rocket launcher I've reviewed comes with cluster bombs and battle runner, which is great for pve, but I use swords or HMG's for pve... I've lately started using swords and HMG's only because I can't any rocket launchers that I care to actually use.
When we had the reforge option it made things so much better because if we got a shit roll we'd go and try to find a better roll than what dropped, meaning we wouldn't have to grind 24/7 just to find a semi-decent set of perks on a gun we want. I'm sure some people found it unfair, but those people probably didn't have the materials to roll for perks as often as others did. Reforge actually balanced the battlefield! Everyone had a chance to get that God roll sniper, or that perfect pve assault rifle, but now it's gone...
Personally I rarely used it, but I liked that the option was there IF I wanted to try my luck. But now I have to farm weapons and hope they drop from strikes, because the gunsmith decided he didn't want to continue providing a great service. Maybe it was too overwhelming for him, or the demand was far too high, maybe he needs some employees to help him...
So please, bungie, give us back the option... Even if only once in a blue moon to reforge all of our weapons.
