Same issue, 9/4/16 5:54AM.
Was trying to character import to currect gen (yes it's still possible transfer cause my screen says that one-time only notices, no there's no deadline after 8/16/16) still getting error tapir.
Was playing on the PS3 around 4AM an haven't ran into any issue yet.
