What if there was a faction of Eliksni that fought for the City? Here's my back story: At one point, a Dreg of the House of Kings named Saksi led 29 others to escape to the City. Saksi believed that the way to restore the former glory of the Eliksni was through an alliance with the humans. He thought that Eliksni and humans were not all that different. They came to the City unarmed. Upon entering the city, they were taken into custody and brought to the Vanguard. They set up a comm link with Variks for translation and the Dregs revealed their intentions. The Vanguard decided that if they lived in the City for 3 months as normal citizens, then they would speak again. 3 months later, diplomacy was attempted, and the House of Light was formed. The Traveler provided them with Ether, and the Eliksni would one day flourish in the company of humans.
Now, regarding gameplay, really all this might do is add another playable race.
EDIT: I've changed my mind about how they get Ether. Guardians must give Ether Seeds, much like a material donation to a faction. I tried tagging it "non canon".[armory][/armory]

Anyone else really annoyed by these "Fallen are Friends" posts? Like, there's literally a mountain of skulls in their places of prayer to their Prime Servitors.

Edited by startrekker96: 9/5/2016 9:24:20 AMConsidering Variks wonders if there were once Eliksni heroes on Eliksni Prime who, like the Guardians, were imbued with the Light of the Great Machine, I would say it's not too far of a stretch for this to happen in either D2 or D3. It's my belief that the Traveler only abandoned the Eliksni after it became apparent that if she stayed, she would be destroyed..and with her gone, any other races the Darkness encountered would be enslaved or destroyed. Like on Earth, she was severely damaged (wounded?) before arriving, and decided to make a last stand on what would be the final planet of her journey. Thus creating us, the Guardians of Humanity, and the Last Custodians of the Light.

I had an idea like this but just adding on now. So first as you said there are only like the 20 house of light fallen but later they will multiply (unless their all dudes) but what I'm saying is you could do patrol and get supplies for them and a reward of finishing a bunch would increase their numbers so later you could have your own ketch (which you would have to steel probably from the house of winter as a mission). Now when you finish the Champaign of this new DLC or Destiny 2 You have an upgrade system like your guardian with your ship and stuff. Upgrade spaces to hold more fallen, build a hanger to put your skiffs in, recruit a fallen Arcon and a pilot servitor, get walkers and pikes, etc. Just do patrol I guess to get the supplies, kill the traitors, find new tech to use on your ship. With all of this I was thinking of a mini game kind of thing with this, just like in Assassins creed Black flag with their fleet thing. . So it shows each planet and let's just say earth for right now. It has a map of earth with colors of other fallen houses and hive who controls each area. So you use your fallen to go down their and take area. I think it should take real time so it doesn't go fast. And the main thing is your trying to get this "House of Light" to conquer each planet. Of course there will be places you can't conquer so it doesn't ruin some thing already in the game. This was what I had in mind, as an add on to this your idea.

Not interested in fallen alien races, they are for crushing not playing as.
-
The fallen once had the traveller. The light whas with them. I think those fallen want yo be allies with us because we have the traveller now. They follow the traveller because it whas their ally. They believe the traveller is a path for them.
-
The fallen just want to get the traveller back, but do guardians listen? Do they try to set up peaceful communication? Heck no, we go to a planet and kill every single one we see for fun.
-
Yeah, sure. The Titan order guarding the wall would just let the criminals and cowards of the most secretive Fallen House pass into the City. They would've been shot as soon as they got spotted. End of story. P.S I like the "canon" tag.

DUDE. ME AND MY FRIEND DISCUSSED THIS AND MADE A WHOLE -blam!-ING RAID FOR DESTINY 2 AND TALJED ABOUT A HOUSE OF LIGHT JUST LAST WEEK! Great minds think alike, especially when the two of us have destiny 2 a whole story within a single school period of 45 minutes and did better than bungie has so far... It's cool that somebody else is thinking about it though... Unless... You are that friend
-
So... Kinda like a useful Variks?
-
Sometimes when I go somewhere where there's cabal/fallen I just stare at them and try to communicate to them
Sounds stupid I know
and say "Please stop, I'm friendly what do you really need?" But nope they keep shooting at me :(
-
Off topic, what's this week's challenge mode? Golgoroth?
-
I believe it would be better if instead of letting them live 3 months as citizens to prove if they can be trusted, they inform the vanguard of a secret plan from another Fallen house to attack a guardian outpost or a part of the tower. Once the vanguard counter the attack, they realize the fallen who came to them can be trusted.

Thr Traveler's dying and the Eliksni don't have Ghosts to channel its power for them.
-
And thanks to the Arbiter and his elites, we defeated the prophet of truth and the flood!
-
escape to the City.
Did someone say City Escape?
-
Nah. Kill em all.
-
Well, Variks is pretty cool... maybe there could be more like him out there.
-
If the traveler created guardians out of 3 races, why not a few Eliksni guardians?
-
This would be great. It would start bringing the factions all together to fight the darkness as one
-
Love it
-
It's possible. Didn't they follow the traveller here anyway? All the houses seem like they simply want to take it back, but maybe there's one or two that instead prefer peace with us. The House of kings seem viable, they don't seem to care about us at all. We already have Variks as an ally. It would be nice to see 20 of them trying to talk to you.
-
I'm definitely for the Fallen finding redemption, but not led by a lowly dreg. The House of Kings has yet to truly show their cunning. They have been sitting back, watching, and planning. Perhaps even weighing our worth to deem guardians worthy allies. We fought the House of Devils and destroyed their Prime Servitor. We fought the House of Winter and destroyed their Kell. We fought the House of Wolves and defeated Skolas. Skolas tried to recruit all houses and managed to get the House of Devils, House of Winter, and House of Exile from the moon to follow him. But as Petra pointed out in the "Ruling House" mission, we stopped him before he could recruit the House of Kings. So they are still outstanding. Bring on the House of Kings - have them join forces with us to fight a greater foe and they may find redemption. (And become a playable race).

Just a question, if the traveler is "dead" how would it supply the Fallen with ether? I'd imagine in its current state it can't do much else besides protect the city
-
Or maybe we have to provide them with ether seeds, I've got 100 plus.
-
Yes! Four armed guardians! Imagine Titans punching two times, Hunters knifing two times, and Warlocks slapping/palming two times! Eliksni actual master race! Bye bye Awoken, Exos, and Humans!
-
Sounds possible- they remind me of that race from halo
