Almost immediately Wilson's minigun swung down, and he drew his M240B from his back. The shielding systems on his armor, the tytritium one and the tesla both ignited, blue energy arcing across his armor as he approached. Without warning, the Courier began his slaughter. The minigun roared to life, followed by the M240B, both weapons cutting down anything that stood in their way. The light armor of the Legionnaires would do little to protect them from high-powered armor-piercing .308s that Wilson was using. The sheer fire rate of his minigun made escape nigh impossible.

-
I never said he killed them. You can fight back but chances aren't good for legion. I thought you knew that Wilson hates the legion more than pretty much anything.
-
I didn't... Whatever. I'll roll with it. Just don't kill the Legate. He's kinda my only character.
The Legion in the camp fired on Wilson from several points from outside the Dojo, and in, with AP rounds in Anti-Material rifles and gauss rifles. Wilson's assault had claimed three so far.
Also, there's five hundred of them. Just so you know.
-
I wasn't going to do that yet. But the nameless guys, they're all gonna die.
The .50 caliber rounds and the gauss rounds, despite the effectiveness they would have on a regular unmodified suit of X-01, seemed to do very little to him other than expose the legion positions to more fire from his minigun, which targeted them as he kept pressing forwards with his M240B. Sparks flew as rounds ricocheted off of his armor and shields. The Venom Incorporated armor pattern he had installed into the X-01 frame was immensely more durable than the original armor. Targeting the traditional areas didn't seem to have much effect as he continued to cut into the camp.
I calculate damage to the Legion like Fallout would. So, I need to know how much damage the minigun does per shot.
It was at this point several Centurions of the Legion marched out of the gates, and advanced with thermic lances. Most of these Centurions' armor was salvaged Power Armor, most likely from Brotherhood of Steel soldiers.
And remember what thermic lances do? Ignore armor. Might wanna focus fire.

Wilson is not using base Fallout armor nor the Fallout minigun. I'm utilizing real world effects of an M134D, which fires the 7.62x51mm NATO round. To a Legionnaire, who's basically just wearing football pads or steel armor, the gun's going to rip through it like butter. Same with the M240B, although it has a much slower fire rate. Thermic Lances are just welding tools, which in a situation utilizing real-world physics, would take time to cut into armor. Wilson's shielding still stands as well, meaning touching him with a metal object is like touching a live power line.
The advancing Centurions had to get close, which was far more difficult than it seemed. The armor they were utilizing was older than the X-01, and much less durable. T-51 and T-45 were West Coast Brotherhood standard, and were quite easily destroyed. Wilson's mingun swung back forwards again, letting loose a stream of API rounds, a tracer every tenth round. Those that advanced straight towards him were cut down fairly quickly, the armor not being able to hold up to the sheer fire rate of the weapon. He continued to fire on more lightly-armored targets with his M240B.
-
Well thank you for clarifying that.
It was at this point the Legion began to wise up. They remembered something that they'd never really used, but always had lying around. Pulse Grenades. A volley of these grenades were thrown at Wilson. The Legion's numbers stood at 487.
-
The Courier took a knee, his shielding system going into overdrive as e diverted power from his minigun to it. Holding down in what appeared to be an armor lock, he waited as the grenades went off around him, the shield taking the brunt of the damage from the blasts. Standing up again, the shield crackled and fazed out, temporarily down. Shifting power back to his minigun, he again continued to target anything that was moving towards him, cutting it apart with extreme prejudice. His M240B was out of ammo, and reloading was currently not going to happen as he was surrounded, so switching to a weapon he could reload faster was more in order. Sliding the machine gun onto his back, he slid off his M1 Garand, and began nailing headshots on the ones who had thrown the grenades. Emptying an eight-round stripper clip, he reloaded it rapidly, and returned to scoring headshots with the .30-06 rifle, the massive round shattering their skulls through their light headwear.
-
A pulse of energy hits Wilson, and it seems to do more damage than it really should. There was this part of the Legion's Cursor, Radnal, with a pulse gun firing at him.
-
Looking to the man, his minigun shifted targets immediately, sending a rapid volley at the weapon in the man's hand. Chances are, the bullets would shatter the gun, and probably continue on into his body, which would likely be lethal. He continued to drop Legionnaires with his Garand as well.
-
While it didn't kill the man, he was indeed out of the battle.
Because that bastard is the only other name character in the Legion.
The Legate himself begins to yell at Wilson. Legate: "I know who you are! You are the man who killed Caesar and Lanius! I would like you to know, we are not part of the main branch of the Legion! Whatever squabbles you have with them should've been left there!" The Legion throws some more pulse grenades, and a high explosive missile is launched at Wilson.
-
His minigun shifts again, firing on the missile and detonating it in the air. Being a weapon with a high rate of fire, it was perfect as a close-in weapons system. The pulse grenades scrambled his HUD's display for a moment, but his EMP-hardened systems prevented any major damage as he cut down more and more basic legionnaires. FLAG OF THE BULL IS FLAG OF THE BULL, PAL! SLAVER'S A SLAVER!
-
"Fair enough!" Two Legionnaires launch pulse grenades from 40mm grenade launchers, they've realized that an EMP will do some amount of damage. The Legion numbers at 413.
-
While the grenades stagger him, they do little else, other than scratch the paint. Turning his attention to them, he fired off his Garand, aiming for headshots to dispatch them. His minigun swung around to continue targeting Legionnaires.
-
It was now that the Legion had finally brought out a significantly better weapon then they had before. They brought out Tesla Cannons, and fired.
-
Seeing them, Wilson swung his mingu around immediately to kill them, aiming for the weapons and hoping to give the users a face full of shrapnel that would prove lethal. Seeing the blasts however, he changed positions, sprinting out of their line of fire as his minigun tracked them.
-
They were much too far away at that point to be caught by more than one or two bullets, but I was enough to kill one of the five. More pulse grenades and tesla cannon blasts were launched.
-
You do realize that miniguns are accurate at a relatively long range, simply because they spit out so many bullets there's no way to really dodge them. The use them on helicopters at distance most of the time, it's what they were initially built for.
The sheer volume of fire was overwhelming, and listening to the weapon's constant drone was taxing on the ears of the enemy, most of whom likely had no ear protection. While a devastating weapon physically, the weapon's psychological impact was massive as well, for all that could really be seen was a bright and massive muzzle flash. Those that had been killed were thoroughly eviscerated, a gut-wrenching sight to those who had not faced such a weapon before. The soldiers with Telsa Cannons were still fired upon, Wilson also sniping at them with his Garand, which was a very accurate rifle, allowing him to secure multiple kills on those carrying the cannons. By now, his shields had come back online, only to be disabled again by the pulse grenades, but his systems held.
-
Well then. Okay.
The Tesla Cannon troops were no more. Something else was happening, however. Nearly 100 Legion dogs barrel through the gates, running straight at Wilson.
-
Getting tired of his rifle, he put it on his back, and drew his machete and one of his revolvers. His minigun clicked a couple of times, and made several strange mechanical sounds as it reloaded itself, taking a moment. As the dogs closed in, the weapon spun to life absolutely obliterating everything that ran towards him. He fired his magnum into the horde as well, as attack dogs fell dead all around him.
-
As he was focused on the dogs, the Legion took this chance to fire more AP rounds at him, along with pulse grenades.
-
Eradicating the dogs fairly quickly, Wilson made note of where the pulse grenades were coming from, and he primed his own incendiary grenades, tossing them right back, the explosion of napalm coating those caught in the blast, setting them ablaze. His minigun swung out in the direction of the armor-piercing rounds, which were denting the armor, and sent out a returning barrage of armor-piercing incendiaries.
-
It cut through the attacking Legionnaires, and the rest had already retreated to the camp. Well, everyone but the Legate. He still stood inside the Dojo.
-
Edited by Trashcan Jesus: 9/3/2016 5:54:51 PMWith everyone having pulled back, he stood there, surrounded by corpses and shell casings, blood covering his armor, his minigun's barrels red and smoking. His machete was dripping blood. And his magnum was in his right hand, aiming down. He stood and simply stared at the Legate, his work speaking volumes.

"Impressive work, Courier. Never did I think I would see the day when one man would slaughter hundreds of my Legionnaires. Tell me, why do you hate us so much? You have done much worse than the Legion."
