I have been a huge fan of Bungie's since the days of Marathon and Myth, an active member on the forums for over eight years, and have even gotten to play with a few of the Bungie guys back in the Halo 3 days. While I had never personally been to any of the E3 events or other promotional events Bungie has held, I had always wanted to go see them in person and shake the hands of the people who have brought me so much joy over the years. After hearing about the Bungie turnout for PAX West, I knew I had to get myself a ticket and a badge. After quite a large sum of money later, I had both in hand and went to the airport this morning, still making posts from my phone on the help site as I went. After hours of waiting for my flight, I learned that the plane suffered some sort of engine failure and that they would not be able to get another flight that coincided with my airlines for at least five days. By the time I would be able to get my replacement flight, PAX would be over. Thankfully, I was able to get my money back from the airline but I was unable to cancel my PAX badge, so I just requested they mail it to me so I could at least have a piece of the event. One of their reps was extremely helpful and I want to give them props here, but their name eludes me. I was looking forward to this weekend with such childish glee only to have it come crashing down by the adult world. The biggest thing I wanted to get from there was the Pin set (I love collecting pins) and the Iron Medallion necklace I have seen in the Bungie Store. I even drew some [url=http://i.imgur.com/P28ce6O.png?1]art[/url] I was hoping someone at Bungie could sign, but not I won't even be able to get there. I do not know why I am posting this here, just to vent I guess. I know nothing can be done about it, but it just sucks so much. If anyone is able to make it to PAX West and can spare the time to help a fellow Guardian out, I would be happy if you could snag me at least the Titan pin.
