A sequel that cuts all ties with the original. How does that make any sense?

lol. I'm talking in terms of your guardians. Look at Borderlands. You don't play as the same characters in BL2 that you did in BL1 but they are still NPC's in the sequel. This game has already limited itself in terms of progression, story, character development, overpriced the "expansions" for how much content you get, etc. The only benefit for transferring guardians is to start a brand new game with all sorts of abilities unlocked but why would you want to do that? That would be lame AF.
