It's on discount right into my current price range on Xbox one and I'm wondering whether it's good. I'd go steam but I have a laptop and already have a few games I love on there so not enough room. I'm really looking for a 3D semi realistic survival game.
Yay or nay?

Edited by Nayte: 9/2/2016 8:58:20 PMIf you enjoy games that require a bit of resource grinding, like Minecraft or 7 Days to Die, I think you'll really enjoy Ark. The official servers can be hit or miss depending on how the alpha tribes govern the server. Though I would recommend going into a single player game first. It's a great way to get a feel for the games core mechanics, without the worry of someone destroying your progress while you are offline. Another plus side to single player/local server is that you can adjust various settings of the game (harvest rates, taming speed, etc.) The building/crafting is a ton of fun. I shalt not disclose how many hours I spent building various bases, boat houses, breeding habitats. Taming the various wildlife is of course the best part of the game. It's quite in depth, and when you consider all the different species, levels, color combinations, skill points, and mate boosted pairs. There's a lot to keep you busy, and that's not even getting into finding a great pair to mate, which creates a higher leveled offspring. The game is still in development, so there's quite a bit to he added before any optimizations take place. That said, I'd buy the game again as is. :)
