I understand you weren't ruling out every example of character imports to ever exist, I was just highlighting one (relatively recent) example that imports and works.

Destiny is also one of the exceptions. The point is that it's an exception and people are ignoring the norm that they accept without question from practically every other game. It's just an observation.
