I'm just here to say your name is fkin awesome.
-
ha no. Our character was still there. Sure we changed weapons and gear, but a lot of things remained. Subclasses, exotics, even old gear made comeback. A fresh start means having to create a new character.
-
Strange, i still remember using FB, BH and Gjallarhorn the first few stages on TTK... maybe i'm wrong.
-
No, we did not have to create new characters
-
you didnt CREATE a new character. But it was an entirely new character and everything was new. Brand new. same thing. they erased ALL of your progress, weapons, armor, you started from scratch.

Edited by GrundleBeans: 9/1/2016 6:13:39 PMNo it wasn't. It was like every other expansion, except they added 1 new subclass per character. You kept every single thing you had. Every expansion you get new weapons, new armor, and higher light levels to achieve. That's NOT starting over. Starting over is having nothing. No light, level 1, starting gear, etc.
-
Not the same thing. It was not a new character You still had your existing supers and weapons and armor. It was the light level shift away from year 1 light level that made us all start with green. Kotako is talking about creating new characters entirely.
-
If you read Kotako articles and believe anything written on them you need to get your head examined as you might be a moron lol.

Wow take it easy cpt supreme butthurt.

What's with the attack? We are discussing the pros and cons. Geez
-
What are you talking about?

I think I get their point. LS, each time we get a new bit of story to run through we also get new gear to acquire, we get a new level cap. The story is the easy part. The grind is on and we are left only marginally in the lead of a brand new guardian, that I've witnessed, only needs about a day to get practically where we are. I'm not wishing that a new player is not allowed to reasonably reach our level, but, the things that take a lot of time to get/accomplish are at our veteran point onward. There's hardly a difference then between us and that new player. A day of effort running the story and leveling a subclass. Except for house of wolves it feels to me like we're being reset. We keep our gamer tag, our experience, and some trinkets in the vault that hardly ever come out.
