Sounds like you are on the border between different skill levels for sbmm. You should eventually move up to the higher level as you adapt to the way they play
The borders are a lot less clear than they were back in January as Bungie plays with the matchmaking settings; this generally means a higher range of skills in each sbmm levels and some overlap where players can be matched into levels either side to fill up lobbies to reduce matchmaking times

Yeah I think so but its kinda stupid, also while I have no problem with competition, Im not even sure if I want EVERY game to be a total sweat fest against full parties. Sometimes I just wanna relax lol

For me, sbmm means a more relaxed game and less likely to find parties because I'm below average Just because people are in a team it doesn't mean they are actually working as a team. 90% of what I hear when I'm in a team is people complaining about the other teams weapons and how many people they have just killed and almost everything except where the other team is, when to push the other team and when people are about to use supers (to collect the orbs). This applies to good players as well as just pvp scrubs like me
