So what was supposed to be the greatest game in history was by far the biggest letdown perhaps in modern gaming history (at least on PlayStation). It's so bad that ultra strict Sony is issuing refunds for those dissatisfied with the game.
Bungie may have made some false promises with Destiny, but at least I'm still playing Destiny daily from the beta.
I'm disgusted with how bad no mans sky really is.
~ Nyahh! =^,.,^=

"You have to have low expectations" actually no you really shouldn't have low expectations. Remember when people got excited for a game and were satisfied? I do
-
No Man's PC can run this game
what's up with the nyahh
-
No mans refund😂

Looking at the comments just brings me back to destiny all over again. I wonder how many still try to validate destiny... then and still nms (makes sense) but what i really wonder is how many people invalidated destiny but are trying their best to promote and defend nms?
-
Sony isn't offering refunds anymore. If you have any trophies or more than an hour of gameplay, they won't refund you
-
Nope. Greatest example of a community hyping itself into a frenzy beyond all reason...convincing themselves that they were promised thigns that they weren't.... ...then getting mad about their NOT being things in the game that devs NEVER promised that their would be. Those who followed the game's development and kept their expectations grounded, got the game they were expecting. Now whether or not that game was to yoru personal taste or not.....that's a different story.
-
It was a let down because you set your expectations way to high. As did most people. The game turned out to be exactly what i expected from it, and i still enjoy it for what it is. Was everyone expecting every planet to be unique? Extremely diverse? Or was it the fact that multiplayer wasn't implemented?
-
You're a bit late to the party.
-
I've just been collecting gravitino balls and making profit. I'm going to keep playing until I find a perfect planet, similar to earth, and/or I find a planet with huge ass dinosaurs
So what was supposed to be the greatest game in history was by far the biggest letdown perhaps in modern gaming history
Have you met the abomination that is the Master Chief Collection?
(at least on PlayStation
Oh yeah, right. Well having not played NMS, nor even owning a PS4, I can't refute that claim.
-
Lol you're game sucked.
please don't hate me
-
if i see the game on sale should i get it or just pass on the game entirely?
-
So when the rest of us told you the game would be garbage, you laughed and called us fools. Guess I'm laughing now.

The game was hyped so much Sony decided to charge double the price...then gutted the game, taking away most of its features (prob because of the delays). Game journalists didn't help the situation. Standard practice now days, rate the game highly from 10 minutes of footage. Keep the game relevant plus remind people of how great the game will be. Reap rewards through internet traffic. Rinse, repeat and profit.

"Greatest game in history" Lol who said that?

Edited by NightMist: 8/30/2016 3:19:39 AM
So what was supposed to be the greatest game in history
Lol. if anyone though a 15 person indie team could make the greatest game in history, they deserved to waste $60 on a game they didnt like.
-
Tfw I actually like the game but everyone else hates it
-
Did you play it?
-
Banned for 2 weeks and this is still going on...?
-
I don't play the game but thinking any game is going to be the Greatest game in the history of games before it comes out just means your an idiot. You guys seam to be overreacting to this way to much
-
Who in the world thought it was going be one of the best games in history?
-
I'm not sure it was ever supposed to be the greatest game in history. I'm not even sure it's the biggest disappointment on PlayStation 4, as disappointment is subjective and depends entirely on each individual's personal expectations. I'll be honest, I'm not planning on buying it anytime soon because of its over reliance on survival game mechanics. If they release a patch in future that just allows the casual exploration of a galaxy then I might reconsider, as that's really the only part of the original pitch that caught my attention.
-
Yea.... I'm not touching this one. Either I'm going to burn at the stake with the fanatics or be sacrificed to God of Hatred by the haters.
-
The writing had been on the wall for a while. I don't blame anyone who got caught up in it though. Some of us have had similar experiences (Destiny) in overhyping things. Though I feel like in NMS case it was a bit more obvious.
-
What happened? Everything I saw of the beta looked awesome?

Edited by Rhynerd: 8/29/2016 8:21:10 PMWhat too many people hyped up to be the greatest game of all time, a space epic where you would be the great warrior traveller on his/her/it's/their way to the center of a galaxy, was not as they hyped it up to be. Instead, it was a survival game about trying to survive, discover, harvest, and upgrade your way to the center of the universe, which the developers said it would be multiple times. In an effort to combat the damage this hype backlash may cause, Steam and Sony offer a chance the refund the game. Now people write the game off as an utter disaster. Really the only issue seems to be that the idea lacked enough content for the world to find fitting for the price tag and elevated status that they somewhat helped to give, though like Destiny this game also has some broken promises. There is one thing that this game has over Destiny. They haven't put any repairs to their broken promises behind paywalls, and according to the devs they intend not to.
