So first the gratuitous platitudes…
As always thx community for always being a source of wisdom, direction, and distraction that makes this game so amazing to me.
Now take this as a rant or a question. And now the background and problem.
Now down to business.
Been on destiny since Alpha. Been hooked and taken the game and rung every since pleasure and drop from it I could. Whether is was multiple Ghorn drops, or the the fatebringer drops. They were amazing games that lead to fun times. My Y1 road to legend was done before it ended.
Then game entered sophomore year and the old become irrelevant. We all had to start to grind again and learn the mechanics. Life kicked up and I lost play time to two kids, family and work.
Finally come back after a 6 month break and Destiny has been very kind in drops racing my light lvl to 320. Then the Kings fall. Spent 3 weeks on normal stuck on Oryx. Could not get a team that could get the bomb timing or communicate properly. So finally it's Oryx challenge and an hour and half alone one the big bad boss we get the win, but it had reset so I lost the fragment.
Last night join a fun rowdy bunch on a pickup. They mostly know each other. I'm low man on totem pole at 320. But, having run the raid on normal so many times on fresh runs I have the raid down. About and hour later with the War priest, and secret chests and 16 bombs gathered we beat Hard on my first run. I held my own since I did my work and got a BS, had my ToM, my bones for jumping as a hunter, even volunteered to run platform on oryx.
How can the Hard mode seem so much easier then the normal. Do people really underestimate normal that much. Or do they take it so serious they can not play the game but pick apart everyone else instead of help.
Thx so much for your time and see ya'll on the tower.
