how about testing packets ? you could be getting your down and up , but if you lose those packets along the way you could have a horrible experience .
the crucible Def has connection problems , it happened to me once and it took 3 technicians to figure out which node it was coming from the funny thing is when you test your connection it will show the full speed with a solid low ping , www.pingtest.net you need java to run it . ................... after they fixed it , been good for over a year. i have 200 down , 20 up . "i had between 1% - 2% packet loss when i had an issue"

Thats the beauty of routing. Sometimes its good and some times its a pain in your arse. Depends on how big the network is, how the routing works and sometimes the fault its intermittent as shit(I hate those ones)
