For some reason I think Eris Morn is Mara Sov. I don't know how, or why. But Mara Sov's body was never found, and she said something about the Awoken playing their part in a story. When the assault took place, Oryx said he would take them all. What if HE took Mara's body and infected it, and then sent her to the past using a taken Vex in the Vault of Glass (where there was a time collapse, as seen in one of the missions featuring the voice of Praedyth). And in the past, she roamed around, eventually foreseeing the awakening of Crota and leading a fireteam of guardians down and feeding her essence to Crota allowing her to take the visage of a Hive - peculiar how she was the only survivor.
This would also make her taking the essence of the sword at the end of TTK make sense. It seems crazy, and it probably is, but if I look at images of Eris and Mara Sov side by side, I see a very eerie similarity between their appearance..

No, they're in a lesbian relationship
-
Since when did people think they were the same person?
-
Eris morn and Mara Sov have been in the same room together with multiple witnesses, including prince uldren and and the techeun. They are definitely not the same person with solid proof, head over to Ishtar collective and check out the card "ghost fragment: the queen 2" its a good read! It shows us that eris and Mara have been plotting to take out oryx before the dreadnought even entered our system.

Edited by Kell of Rain: 8/26/2016 4:02:44 PMThere's a major flaw with this theory. Taken Vex can't travel through Time. Once a Vex is taken, they worship the Final Shape, and abandon the "Pattern" which is what allows them to travel through time without paradox. Also, Eriana-3 lead the fire team down into the Hellmouth, and the reason Eris survived was because she picked up a few tips from Toland

Mara Sov's body wasn't found because she isn't dead.. but her and Eris Morn are not the same person... Eris isn't even Awoken. Eris does however have some kind of deal going on with the Queen, whether she is secretly serving the Queen or if it is an assignment from Ikora (as Eris is one the Hidden) we don't yet know.
-
Eris actually talks with the Queen in a grimoire card, with Uldren watching. I think he would have noticed Eris or Mara talk to herself in two different personalities.

I'm not going to slam you with hate speech. I always encourage guardians to dig into the lore. However, it is established canon that Eris meets with Mara Sov in the reef. Moreover, Mara Sov can remember being born and is likely the first awoken. Eris was a young and inexperienced guardian when she went into the pits in the moon in her failed Crota raid. The reason Eris looks the way she does is because she did a little self surgery with some acolyte eyes in order to survive in the dark.

lesbian porn would be nice but I don't really know if Eris Morn female
-
And I thought I was CRAZY!
-
-blam!- what
-
WTF? Put the bong down. Lol
-
I don't know what you've been taking, but I want some.
-
Well, this isn't the lesbian fanfic I expected to see.
-
One time eris' s eye bandage fell off and i saw that her third eye was fake! She really does have a tail though.

Edited by Kittimu: 8/26/2016 3:53:08 PMThis makes no sense

It seems there's been some misunderstanding. I'm not saying I believe this is canon, it's just a wild idea I had that I mused about and thought it was interesting. With that said, I'm copying and pasting a list I had created in response to someone, because I want this list to have its own comment rather than be lost in a shuffle of replies. A list that would support this headcanon of mine if it's not approached with dismissive attitudes but rather approached with the same playful attitude I had when I came up with it :) - The physical similarities between Mara Sov and Eris (srsly, google them and place them side by side) - The time collapse of the Vault of Glass with the Taken infestation - The cutscene of the guardian using the stealth drive to travel to the Dreadnaught for the first time showed floating corpses of the Awoken that fell in battle, yet Mara Sov's body was nowhere to be found despite the efforts of Petra and the other Awoken - Mara Sov had extensive knowledge of the Black Garden and the Vex gods, even playing a huge role in showing the guardian how to open the garden, and its been confirmed that those Oryx takes, he gains the knowledge that they possessed too - Eris Morn led a team into the place where Crota lay - Eris Morn was the only survivor - Eris Morn doesn't currently possess the Traveler's Light - It is claimed that Eris had her light "taken" from her, it would have to be an extremely powerful minion of darkness to be able to do that, yet she miraculously survived an encounter with such a being even though her light did not - When the opening TTK cutscene ends, Mara Sov says The Awoken have played their part. If this theory is to be believed, then that quote gains a deeper depth - When Oryx retreated, he did so with a smirk, it is believed in arrogance, but what if it was because everything was going according to some plan and then Eris took the core of the Sword

To many paradoxes tbh. Bungie where at least smart enough to have time as a body of water theory. Ie if you hook yourself to the boat. And swim away from it. The boat still moves so when you eventually get back in it. It's further on the future. This however sadly means even if you fix the problem in the past. Your future self won't see it happen as that body of water will float to it natural conclusion
-
The opening cinematic of TTK is Mara talking to Eris. The ending cutscene of TTK is Eris talking to Mara. The shard of Willbreaker that Eris snagged is what's used in our swords. RIP theory
-
There are HoW grimoire cards where Eris and Mara (and others) are talking to each other in the reef. Eris and Mara were planning for oryx before the tower was.

Edited by Silent: 8/26/2016 8:15:10 AMInteresting, but I highly doubt that's the case. Mara isn't a guardian like Eris is.
