The third tent has a man in it, holding a pistol. That pistol is very clearly what you are looking for.

Cassie couldn't see it, but sensed the man's presence, and, even while not knowing the pistol was there, drew her sword, pointing it at the man.
-
Man: "Woah, woah, woah girlie. Why are ya waving that around in here?"
-
Cassie pointed towards the gun, then the man, before making a question mark.
-
"You wantin' A Light In Shining Darkness? You can have it... For a price."
Or you could, you know, knock him out.
-
Cassie slammed the hilt of her sword into the back if the man's head.
-
He fell to the ground, dropping the gun.
-
Cassie waited for the gun to hit the floor, to determine its position. She picked it up.
-
The gun was a large .45 auto pistol. This pistol was meant to do a lot of damage in a short amount of time.
-
She began walking back towards the Legate.
-
Eventually she got back to the camp, and found her way to the Legate's tent.
-
She poked her head inside.
-
The Legate was sitting in a chair, studying what seemed to be raiding plans. He obviously heard her enter, but said nothing.
-
Cassie walked in, placing the gun on a table near the Legate.
-
"Good job, Recruit. This was a test. To see if you would follow orders. You passed."
-
She nodded.
-
"We are coming up on a battle, Recruit. One the Legion might have... Difficulty with."
-
Another nod, this one of assurance that she would provide aid.
-
"You may leave, Recruit."
-
Cassie nodded once more, saluting. She turned, and began walking towards the tent's exit.
-
"One more thing, Recruit. For a job well done, pick one of the dogs from the kennels."
-
She smiled, and nodded (again) in thanks. She exited the tent, going towards the kennel.
-
There was many lines of kennels, probably around a thousand dogs were kept in this area alone. All the dogs had the same shape, an extremely shaggy retriever. The difference was, however, the color. There were dogs that were white, dogs that were black, and everything else in between.
-
Cassie picked a white one, at random.
-
It seemed reluctant to come at first, but eventually did follow her.
-
She smiled, picking the dog up, and rubbing it behind its ears.
