Well, Radegast is certainly a LotR-reference. Efrideet sounds like a reference to Efreet or Ifrit if you will. Skorri is an Icelandic name. Jolder sounds similar to Old Norse names like Balder and Hodor (yes, true story, there is such a name in Norse mythology, but commonly spelled "Höder"). Timur is a name I can't place geographically, but I've heard it before.
Gheleon is easily identified as an alternative way to spell "Gillian" (they do this all the time in The Song of Ice and Fire books).
Tormod is an old Norse name. Deidri is Deidre. Nirwen, Weyloran and Bretomart are names I can't find any references to, the same goes for Ashraven. Haakon is a Norwegian name. Finnala and Colovance I can't really place anywhere, but Finnala could possibly be Old Norse as well.
Of course, Saladin was a famous historical figure, a great military leader and conqueror.

Thanks! I knew I'd heard the name before.

My pleasure. Names are cool. Always fun to explore the names of gear and find refrences from the real world and from history.

I'm a huge language nerd, and I love how the lore/naming team at Bungie have gone to such lengths to give characters awesome names.

Yeah.. So many of the weapons have cool stuff related to them, even blues and greens.
