The Flat Earth: Why It Matters
I have been asked this before:

But it does matter. Maybe you are not the curious type. Thats not bad. But remember this: what we think defines our reality. The cult of science claims two simple things: that water flows downhill, and that the earth is rotating from west to east at 1000mph. One of those facts is directly observable: we know that water flows downhill. The other is not a direct observation: no one has seen the earth spin. Think about it this way: [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narmada_River]The Narmada river in India flows from east to west[/url], OPPOSITE the supposed rotation of Earth. If Earth is really spinning at 1000mph, how does the Narmada river overcome that force by flowing [b]in the opposite direction?[/b]
Believing in a round, spinning earth causes you to believe that to phenomena which are mutually exclusive are both true at the same time. This violates the law of non contradiction. See why it matters? What you think can cause you to accept that a reality which is impossible, is somehow still true.

7 RepliesOne of your primary arguments is that earth is spinning so fast that we should be flung off. One of the explanations of flat earth thought is that instead of gravity, the earth simply rises at 9.8 m/s^2. So tell me. Why are we not crushed under the acceleration? Because if we can be spun around and not be flung off, then how can we move very fast through space and not be crushed?

Not so up to date on how the forces of acceleration work are you? The earth could be travelling at a billion miles an hour, if it's not accelerating or decelerating the rivers will flow any direction they like. They like to travel downhill as you state. I won't be joining your twitch stream.

3 RepliesOk. If the earth was flat, then a commercial flight heading east would have to constantly turn left as "north" would be pointing to the middle of the disc, causing the plane to swing around the disc. So why are contrails straight and not curved?

In your other post, you used the theory that a helicopter floating above the ground is proof of a flat Earth, since if it was round, it would've flew away. I want you to do something... Jump up in the air, and land on your feet. Describe to me, [b]in detail[/b], what just happened to you, and explain how that proves the Earth is flat.
