I walked down to the hangar bay looking over to my ship expecting Amanda to still be working on it, I had no idea as to how long it had been inside of that chamber. Its not like It had a clock of some sort, or any thing to tell the time for that matter. I didn't see her even close to my ship, I looked around and then I saw her. Just sitting down, having a drink of some sort. "Is she ready?" I asked. She took a sip of her beverage then wiped her lips with her left arm. "She's good for orbital to sub orbital travel, but in order for you to get to everywhere in the system you need a jump drive." She said. "There's not many places left on earth that you can get one, soooo, good hunting." She said then walking over to a command console. "Do you have any idea as to where to start?" I asked. She then put down a stylus of some sort then looked over to me. "The cosmodrome is a good place to start, but you might want to get some better gear." She said then pointing at my assault rifle. "Whats wrong with this?" I asked. "Its old, doesn't pack the punch that the other newer models do." She replied. "Go talk to Roni, she's got a small booth set up over by my work shop, just up the stairs to my right." She replied. "Thanks." I replied. So I then walked up the stairs to see an orange robotic unit operating on some sort of machine. "Excuse me, I'm looking for Roni?" I asked the machine. "You found her." She said. "How can I help you today guardian?" She asked. "I'm looking for a weapon." I said. She then bent down to pick up a case, she then handed it to me. "Your just starting out, so here's just a little something to get you started." She said. "Thank you." I replied then walking back down to where Amanda was. "Ok Ghost, you ready?" I asked. "Ready if you are." He replied. I then stepped into the vessel, "Welcome, Pilot." the machine stated. "Shall I select a destination?" It asked. "No, I can take care of it." I said. "Very good sir." It replied. "How shall I address you?" I asked. "You may call me what ever you wish." It replied. "How about, captain?" I asked. "Very good sir." It replied. I grabbed the steering unit on the console. And pushed the ignition button. The engine came roaring to life as I was pushed back into the pilot seat from the force of the engines. The thrust then sending us out of the hangar bay and into the evening sky, we then flew for a few minutes to the Cosmodrome, and I finally got a scope of the scale of our operations here. The entire area was massive, even from the height of about 10,000 meters, the wall still stretched out for kilometers, how could humanity build this? How long did it take? Perhaps I'll find my answers in the fields below. "Where could we even find a jump drive?" I asked aloud. "The component is where you found this vessel sir." Captain told me. "Thank you captain, can you get us there?" I asked. "Negative, heavy Fallen troop movements in the nearby area." He said. "Also, I can't get you everywhere, you'll need to establish a sparrow link to the ship for it to be accessible." He said. "Drop us at the nearest access point." I said. "Right away sir." He replied. Then without warning he dropped us out of the ship above a small shack out in the middle of nowhere. "A little warning would be nice captain." I said annoyed. "Sorry sir." He said. We started walking amidst the freshly fallen snow, my feet making a crunching sound as I walked forward. The small shack had nothing inside it but a computer. "Let me have a look." Ghost said. "Man, this thing is old." He said. "Can it do what I need it to do?" I asked. He then stopped shooting that blue beam of his to look at me. "Yeah, it can work." He said. He got back to work and I pulled out the Sniper Rifle that roni gave me. The white finish glistening in the sun, I then saw a large flash emitting from a far away place. Instinctive I pulled out my sniper rifle and looked through the scope in that direction, I saw a guardian out there, a hunter by the looks of him. He was engaged in a fight with a large tank, oddly it had legs instead of treads. "Is it ready?" I asked in a hurry. "Yeah, WHY!" He exclaimed as I hopped on the sparrow dragging him with me. "What about the mission?" He asked. "He needs help." I replied. We sped across the large lake that bridged the gap between the hunter and I. Feeling the wind dragging across my helmet down to my boots as we glided across the snowy plains . When we got within range, I jumped off my sparrow and into the air throwing a large nova bomb at the tank, causing it to rupture from the inside. Creating a massive explosion in its wake. I looked for the hunter, but I couldn't see him. "Hey, you uh, you can come out now." I said. The hunter then peaked out of a large building window that he was hiding in, he then jumped out of the window and onto the ground. "Thanks, that thing was really getting on my nerves." He said. He then tilted his head to the side. "You look new around here, what brings you to the Cosmodrome?" He asked. "I'm looking for a jump drive, I have a ship, but it won't work without one." I said. "Oh, that's funny." He said. "How's that funny?" I asked. "It's funny because I was just about to steal one of those." He said. "From who?" I asked. "Who do you think?" he asked me clearly aggravated. "There's only one group of people out here, and they all want us dead." He said. "You get three guesses." He said. "The fallen?" I asked. "Bingo." He said. He then started crouch walking his way to a large structure just up head. "Come on, their lair is just up ahead." He said. "You want me to come with you?" I asked. "You want your jump drive don't you?" He replied. I began crouch walking behind him, toward a large gate, guarded by two fallen vandals with some what appeared to be sniper rifles. The hunter looks over to me and uses hand signals that I don't understand or know. I shrugged in response, he then face palms then pointing to my sniper rifle then pointing to the vandals. I then picked up my sniper and he his and he whispers, "On three, one, two, three." He said, we both then pulled our triggers killing the two snipers on the roof. The hunter then jumped onto the roof, signaling me to follow, I used my glide ability to grab onto the ledge. Getting behind up to the top of the roof, he then signaled me over to go help him to remove a grate on the roof. "Come on." He said after we opened the grate in the roof. We then started crawling around in some old air duct until a large room came into view. We looked inside from one of the grates in the walls there was a large number of fallen in here, from dregs to captains. "Damn." He said in a whisper. "What?" I asked. "You see the big guy?" He asked me. I looked into the room again to see a titan of a fallen in the room. Adorned with ghost shells around his neck, a sword scabbard around his waste, and a large gun on his back. "Who's he?" I asked in a whisper. "That's Riksis, The Archon of the House of Devils." He replied. "The vanguards got a huge price on his head." He said eagerly. "Tell you what, we kill this guy, you get the jumpdrive around his waist, and we split the rewards of the bounty, deal?" He asked. "Deal." I replied. Riksis then picked up something, wait, that's not a something, its someone! Then a large purple machine appeared before the Archon. "Sepiks prime too." He said. "We need to save that person." I said. "Well, lets do this." He said, then kicking down the grate. The Archon then spoke in some unknown tounge." The servitor then flew away up to what looked like some sort of ship. It didn't look fallen in appearance but the Archon then turned around with his gun and fired into the bridge that would be used to get there destroying it. "Must I use this obscene tongue of yours?" He said to us. The Hunter then pulled out a golden hand cannon and fired it at him three times. The Archon staggered in pain, I then ran in following up those shots with a nova bomb with devastating results. The Archon screamed out, in either pain or anger I'm not entirely sure. The victim he was going to sacrifice then woke up and used a ground slam attack to the ground to finish him off. The Archon now lay here dead, at the hands of a rag tag group of guardians. The other Fallen that were in the building fled, we'll get them later. "Don't I know you from somewhere?" The Titan asked me. I looked at her again she was toting the same armor as before with the same golden look. "Yeah, I know you too." I replied. "Name's James, remember?" I asked. "Oh right, well we just took out an Archon, and you got your self a jump drive." She said. I then took the drive from around the Archon's waist. "Shall I upload the upgrade module sir?" Captain asked. "Yes, please captain." I replied. I then looked over to the hunter, "I never got your name." I said to him. "Name's Aaron, Aaron 14" He said.
