Justice Department: Baltimore Police violated civil rights

Can we put this argument to bed now? As it turns out, systemic racism in policing was and still is a thing.

1 ReplySo the first link to cnn is essentially useless because they just reported on it and never linked the research, so it's just words. I am unable to see the second document as I'm out of available space, so for the time being I'm going to remain skeptical, although you do raise an interesting case. That being said, I don't think associating with BLM is a very good idea, as many members are blatant racists, wanting segregation and call for killing cops. ALM is probably a more effective movement to associate with, as it is the group that is the most humanitarian. If you can provide a link that isn't download that would be appreciated, and thank you for reading this far I know this is a long post.

This entire PDF was all about stop and searches and how the officers didn't have enough evidence to conduct one but the DoJ also says that they didn't have sufficient evidence to even claim that in the vast majority of cases so they went to isolated cases instead. They are literally using anecdotes and their lack of comprehensive data to come up with a conclusion. This is scientifically backwards.

Systemic racism isn't a thing. Some people are bad people. The amount of police who are that are police is minuscule and the bad ones often slip through the cracks because they hide behind a false visage.

Not all cops are racist, but the way they enforce laws are racist and biased against poor minorites.

When a lot of shitty people happen to look similar, it colors peoples thoughts. I'm more worried about the incredible amount of violent crime generated by the black community. Racism sucks, but it's largely invisible and hard to prove. There are tangible problems we'd be better off addressing.
