Okay look I'm not a pvp god or anything. Hella average. BUT I have games (usually in a row) where I have like 25 kills and 4 deaths. Every shot is on point. Snipes? Pssshhh hitting like a shotgun main claims snipers hit. All I can think is hot diggty damn I'm -blam!-ing killing this game. Then for about 10 games in a row i may scrape by with a crispy .10 KD. Trials? Trials? Shoot I'll smack people with 2200 Elos and then lose to people with 1400 Elos.. Blows my mind how inconsistent I am and it's absolutely nerve racking. Lol. Any one else feel my pain?
-
Oh yea! One match will be like Wheel of Fortune & the next match.......... Jeopardy!
-
It's like Halo when it became online multiplayer. When I was winning and doing well it was the greatest game ever created. When I started losing and couldn't kill anyone, it was a broken game and I hated it. That's the wonders of PVP!
-
-
Yep, here too.
-
Hell yeah man. Love being at the top of the leaderboard one game, and being near the bottom on the next against the exact same team lmao. It's usually a day to day thing for me. Some days I'm on, dropping people left and right.. some days I just can't get in a rhythm. Is what it is, my stats have been screwed since day one letting my kid play on my account, so I don't even trip about my bad games lol
-
I was doing great yesterday, now I feel as if I've never picked up a controller in my life.
-
Dude I'm right dere with ya
-
I could get 40 kills and around 10 deaths running with the First Curse one game and get 15 kills and 12 deaths the next game.
-
Quick decision making is key. I'm inconsistent as well.
-
Oh I feel your pain, I can have a crazy game, go unbroken or go 43-3 and the next game im terrible lol. Im fine with it though I won't be as good as those beasts that kick my ass in trials.
-
Sbmm eats me up. I'm kinda between layers it seems. I can stomp, or get stomped. I rarely ever end up in a close match. My random team once won by mercy and the next match we just got trounced. I don't even mean just lost, I mean just sort of getting mercied curb stomped. It seems to happen to me a lot. Takes quite a bit of effort for me to keep my close to positive k/d.
-
Folks blame SBMM, but I think there is some secret sauce in the connection. Sometimes your melee counts first and most times it doesn't.
-
it's the game I mean, it's the people you're against, but the game is forcing impossibile to win games due to sbmm also, and I've posted this before on here, it's a little conspiracy theory'ish but i really feel like they buff and nerf players and teams behind the scenes to move everyone to their stated ideal of 1kd and 50/50 win/loss
-
For me, it depends on the composition of the enemy team. I generally run with The First Curse and a fusion. If the majority of the enemy team is sniping, I generally get wrecked. If they actually want to play a normal FPS game and engage in firefights instead of camping across the map, then I do much better.
-
This describes my DS3 pvp experience. Getting hit with the Chaos Blade from 20 feet away is not cool.
-
I find crucible exactly the same. I did the Crucible quests for my moments of triumph and was dreading rumble. I won both games? I then do control trying to get 6+ auto riffle kills and didn't even get 6 kills per game over the 4 as we lost all 4 and I needed 4 points? Next up us clash and i clean up. That's what happens when your a casual average Joe I guess, or maybe there is some thing more sinister at work?
-
Hope you enjoyed your ride on the Crucible Coaster. Wait for the ride to come to a complete stop before exiting to your left. Enjoy the rest of your day at Bungie Gardens. Please be sure to enjoy a refreshing dip in the salt water pool, and be sure to stop by the Nerf exhibit at the front of the park. (Poking fun at the game in general, but yes, the Crucible is a roller Coaster of ups and downs, and to me the inconsistency is the most frustrating part and makes it really difficult to improve your game)
-
This is why I rarely play crucible. Only pvp game I've played where I can win 10 straight games and then feel lucky to get a single kill the next 10. Just the nature of this game.
-
Same.
-
They're going to design roller-coasters off my PvP charts.. One of which will probably have the steepest drop known.. LOL
-
Yep. My graph looks like a roller coaster. I'll do a 2.4 one game and a .6 the next.

Edited by Vault of Glass: 8/9/2016 5:06:39 PMI'm consistent. I can't be inconsistent. I try to be nice so you guys don't have too much trouble with me. :D
-
It's all about the connection and latency. Same happens to me. When you've got the good connection, you're blowing people away and barely getting scratcbed by the enemy. When you've got a bad connection you can't buy a kill and might as well be shooting a Nerf gun. This is how it goes with P to P connections.
-
That's me lol. One match I snap! I'm talking 28 kills, 3 deaths, 6 caps, hitting all my shots! I lead my team to glorious victory!!! The next match... I get like a .42 KD, can't hit the traveler with a shotgun lol. I just try and have fun
-
P2P. Nothing more. Nothing less. You either have the edge and are a fraction ahead of everyone Or Nothing works because now you're dying instantly to everything, getting sniped thru walls, shotguns doing fractions of damage, melee not registering, two shot by Mida.. the list goes on
-
Everyday I feel that pain in pvp. I'm working hard to try and get better and watching streams constantly to see and analyze movements
