I got it back with SONY's support help but that was scary.
Not sure if coincidence or not but the last thing I did before I got the Email from SONY that my Account email had changed was sign back in to the Ishtar Commander App. Felt Like only a minute later I got the Email.
Anyone using the App be careful. I'm going to Tweet them an inquiry.
Here's my tweet to Ishtar Commander if anyone wanted to retweet.

EDIT: Changed the view setting on my Twitter. You guys should be able to see it now.
Edit2: after some testimonies and a reply from the IC devs I'm confident the IC wasn't the problem. I will still tread carefully though.

That's scary, thank you for the tip.

Deactivating Ishtar immediately

Are you sure it was ishtar commander? because i have been using it for 3-4 months before the april update came out and i have 2 step verification with a burner phone to send a code too. But i have not heard of anyone else getting their account compromised. And you post the link but we have to be a follower to see it? Yeah i am calling BS. Even messaged the creator of the app but awaiting a response.

Sucks dude
whispers Xbox Master race
In all seriousness though, feelsbadman, change your passwords regularly, don't have the same password for more than 1 thing unless it's something you don't care about. (Temporary accounts, unimportant things, etc) Also set up a pin code or some sort of verification process if possible.

Edited by Cujuju: 8/8/2016 8:23:54 PMYou're so very wrong. IC is one of the top developers around. You were not compromised because you use IC. You should instead use a different password for every account, and make sure it's long. Like 4+ words. Use 1password if you can't remember long passwords. Also, you should post your old password so we can tell you if it was weak or strong.

I feel ya man I've been hacked by the same person at least 4 times now and every time he deletes all my exotics and a character :(.

Sorry to hear you got compromised — that really stinks. Hope you didn't lose any sweet loot or anything. About Ishtar Commander: I've been using the app ever since the author released it and am part of the beta testing for the app. The author is very vocal on security has developed the app to be as safe and secure as Bungie has allowed the app to be. He actually wrote up a long post on security since he seems to get a lot of questions about it. http://unintuitive.com/blog/security-and-the-bungienet-destiny-api Also note that Bungie is very familiar with Ishtar Commander and the author, and if his app was doing anything shady or malicious Bungie would disable his API key in a hot minute!

Blaming your account loss on IC is silly. The app developer has written extensively on security, as you can see in a blog post here : http://unintuitive.com/blog/security-and-the-bungienet-destiny-api Most people who lose their accounts actually shared their password with someone else or they use the same password for multiple online accounts, which is a really bad idea.

Still love how you need to use Twitter to reach bungie

Yeesh... I also heard there has been a Twitter and Skype thing going around too where accounts are getting hacked left and right and sending this broken "goo.gl" link to everyone on their contacts list. Internet has been getting crazy.

Thanks for looking out :)
