First off I want to say that the goal for acquiring full gear sets is not very high. I am just shooting for a damage decrease or something for the gear now cause I felt there is no real need to have all the gear unless there was an incentive. The April update is allowing people to eventually reach max level by playing and grinding exotics for their next boost to a piece of armor or weapon. There needs to be an incentive to gather all gear sets or there is no real need to. A shader when you have all pieces is cool but what does that really do for me? Doesn't help kill or not be killed by the enemies. Whats the benefit to getting a whole new raid set when people will more than likely infuse it to something else to power their old gear up?
Example:
All Kingsfall Raid gear (5% damage decrease from Taken) or (5% damage increase to Taken)
All Vault of Glass gear (5% damage decrease from Vex) or (5% damage increase to Vex)
All Crota's End gear (5% damage decrease from Hive) or (5% damage increase to Hive)
All Vanguard/Crucible/Faction gear (5% extra rep gains) This will stack for faction exotics rep boost.
Other Ideas:
All Raid gear: Faster reloading and carry more ammo for all weapons
This would become a trade off from variety but make the goal of striving for gear sets that much more desirable.

No. Mainly because I prefer NOT wearing full sets, so that would incentivize me to do something I don't like. When I wear a full set, I feel like I am sending a message that I can barely make level and need to wear all gear from the only phase of the game I am good at. Logical - not really, but the only time I have worn a complete set of anything in the last six or eight months was to unlock the Taken emote.
-
No I don't think so
-
No, I want to use a mix of everything, and not only one gear set.
-
NO. Some players who obtained full sets would still like to mix and max pieces of different sets for fashion reasons and for their different perks. This would essentially make players feel forced into using a full set instead of mixing when they otherwise would not want to in order to get these bonuses. This would hurt variety.

Having s full set buffs would be like an exotic

If it only pertained to raid gear and provided bonuses that affected the raid (including most pve content) it's a pretty cool idea. I do see a benefit though to not having "set bonuses": it allows players to play in the armor they want to play in and also allows them to better synergize their preferred exotic armor with the current selection of armor (raid or otherwise). And it prevents an armor meta, if you play "the division" you should be well aware how this can affect a game.

All Iron Banner gear: Grants Shoulder Charge and Lightning Grenades. Also makes you immune to damage and gives you infinite packages from vendors
-
Diablo did it best. They could definitely hijack that idea.
-
Bungie finds it obviously better to have Raid gear and store bought items provide the same perks. #truth

Yes please. Those that want variety can play pvp since the changes suggested would be really awesome for pve because it would go with the story/mission you're doing. Very awesome idea.
-
Yes . They should
maybe I'm biased as I have full sets of gear in my vault. What can I say , I'm a collector :D
-
I think it should work more like normal set gear where you get different tiers of bonuses based on how many pieces from the set you've equipped.
-
Yes AS LONG AS they are PvE-oriented and are small enough to not break the game. The perks you recommended sound fine. However, I worry it'll take away what little uniqueness we have left

Bumps up the ass

Nice idea especially the rep ones

The answer is a hardy, empathic, yes!

I like mixing and matching the sets though :(
-
No. It's already hard enough to get a full set let alone a full set with int/dis/str upgrades you want. Or with the right perks on it for gaining super energy in a certain way, reloading a certain weapon faster, increased ammo for said weapons. I want gauntlets that reload HC's or Snipers faster but if it has Dis/Str im gonna dismantle it. Most of the time its a shotgun reload perk with int/dis. I want int/dis but hardly ever use shotguns
-
They will do but not for a while, that'll be all new content in a few years along with a new enemy that look like Hive with Pistorius legs (Not to be mistaken for Fallen with Pistorius legs.)
-
Definitely an interesting idea, granted it would take a lot of reworking since some of the armor pieces already have perks like that. But a cool idea for sure.
-
Nah. That would throw off Bungie's "Diversity" attitude. Why look original when you can take 5% less damage from Taken?
-
I think they should make Destiny in a 98% Diablo clone. Diablo is fun because you always feel like you get better and the monsters have variation and classes allow multiple builds. Only gunplay and first person / over the shoulder perspective should stay as they are.
-
You must play the division because that is what their full set of fear does. Don't think destiny will ever do that.
-
No, it takes away the customisation options of Destiny's armour system. Having this would take us back to the days of Vanilla where everyone looked almost identical.
