First off I want to say that the goal for acquiring full gear sets is not very high. I am just shooting for a damage decrease or something for the gear now cause I felt there is no real need to have all the gear unless there was an incentive. The April update is allowing people to eventually reach max level by playing and grinding exotics for their next boost to a piece of armor or weapon. There needs to be an incentive to gather all gear sets or there is no real need to. A shader when you have all pieces is cool but what does that really do for me? Doesn't help kill or not be killed by the enemies. Whats the benefit to getting a whole new raid set when people will more than likely infuse it to something else to power their old gear up?
Example:
All Kingsfall Raid gear (5% damage decrease from Taken) or (5% damage increase to Taken)
All Vault of Glass gear (5% damage decrease from Vex) or (5% damage increase to Vex)
All Crota's End gear (5% damage decrease from Hive) or (5% damage increase to Hive)
All Vanguard/Crucible/Faction gear (5% extra rep gains) This will stack for faction exotics rep boost.
Other Ideas:
All Raid gear: Faster reloading and carry more ammo for all weapons
This would become a trade off from variety but make the goal of striving for gear sets that much more desirable.

Like Division gear sets?

Hell yes

Yes and no. Yes because yes. No because it will make people want to use sets only. The variety in characters will dive bomb.

I would like tgis idea alot but it should be the entire set, ghost and artifact. Raid gear - extra super energy killing taken enemies. Faction gear - extra rep gain to that faction. Vanguard gear - extra rep to vanguard. ToO gear - extra glimmer when killing guardians in ToO. Or extra passage coins gained after a win or loss. PoE gear - extra rep to variks This is just my idea. I think these wouldnt be game breaking. Decent bonuses and it'd give a reason to have full sets.

This destiny not division

I think they should all come with shaders like the kf set. Other then that nothing. Perks are to iffy to depend on wearing a fulll set. I often start or end my day wearing a matching set, for fashion purposes but it get scrambled due to the situation.

This is the kind of feedback the forums need more of. Its a great idea

Yes, and No. This could ruin PvP and PvE, if you dont have the RNG on your Side, to give you the Armor with the Stats and Perks you want.
It would be Increased grind, but I bet all people would complain about some sets beeing OP as -blam!-.
It's a good idea and works in lots of games. But bungie would make it that you have to grind to find a full set that has the exact same set perk to get use of it and to increase the grind

YES PLEASE!!! I remember in Diablo 2, when you were a necromancer and had a full purple(/green?) set, your character would turn into a vampire! I'd love bonusses to having a (partially) full set, even if they were just pure cosmetical.
-
Only for raid gear. I dont think it should effect vanguard, crucible, or the other faction gear sets so that players are still free to customize their character how they want without being pressured into one set of armor by an ability or bonus. I see this way too much over in the Division with their gear sets.

No, because that would take away the customisation element Bungie wanted to have with infusion in The Taken King. People would have to abandon their favourite armor for the bonuses.
