So I was playing Dark Souls 3, and got invaded while cooping with a friend (cosplay runs).
The guy sees us, and runs away to cower behind enemies. We wait. Finally he shows up. After a bit of fighting, I hook behind him, backstabbing him, and kick him off a cliff.
My friend and I are yelling "This is our world!" So he sends him the same message as a joke, since it was unplanned and rather funny.
Next thing we know, he gets a massive message of vulgarity and salt. The conversation to follow was him trying to explain it was a joke and meant to be funny.
Now, both of us are part of the Xbox enforcers, and do not use that kind of language. So, no, nothing harsh was said in return, just trying to reason with rage.
lol, shoulda figured that wouldn't work.
He reported all of the harsh messages, until the life threat message happened, followed by why and how. Now we both reported him, then blocked the guy.
Now we are worried about potential dual bans/mutes.
My question to you guys here on #gaming:
If the invader reported my friend for spam/etc (as he replied and initial message), would he be at risk, or will it be moot with the invader's responses?
Poll: who is primarily at fault and deserving of a ban?

Edited by T RANGER 1994: 8/7/2016 12:23:30 PMAs long as no hate speech and vulgarity was used your friend should be fine. Spam is sending the same letter 1000 times to someone, not replying to a message.

Depends on exactly what was said but If hate speech, bad language and threats were used then the one using it could have action taken against them As for spam well normally having a conversation isn't spam unless one is sending multiple messages (I send you 1 you send me 10 of you going on), mainly spam would be if I sent multiple people a message about looking at my Youtube channel

Knowing Xbox the guy who sent the vulgar message will be banned, I don't think you will be but I don't know.
