Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for RoI, and will enjoy playing it i'm sure.
I am a bit concerned though that beyond a bit of SIVA-fication and weather effects, we will still be mostly playing through existing environments.
So far I have seen a number of the missions / quests just using existing pve or PvP spaces. Yes there are new places too, I just hope they've done enough to make everything feel fresh.
I don't mind using existing assets, but it needs to feel relevant, not lazy.
And yes, I have the iPad edition of the article so have read and watched all the content released so far. And what I've seen looks great, i just hope they have kept some juicy stuff back ...
Also, if be amazed (pleasantly!) if the community's requested PvP addition is dedicated servers. It is conceivably private matches, which would be nice (but don't expect them to count towards grimoire), but would fit with possibly aiming to get D2 into a competitive arena. My bet, however, is map voting. I can't see it being as 'big' as even private matches (which could only work for 3v3 Max).

Dedicated servers and custom crucible games would be a huge upgrade for the game in my opinion.

From the stream on twitch it seemed like they were holding quite a bit back, but we'll see. Laziness also bothers me, quite a bit, so I hope it doesn't feel like another re-skin job. That said, everything I've seen or read leads me to believe it's going to be awesome as f#*@.

I think most of the story will take place in the plague lands.
