Was wondering when someone would start claiming this. Seriously. Stop. We had enough of this in Year 1. It doesn't matter if it was cut or not; it's in the game now and everyone can play it.

So you are willing to let this slide? Bungie's lying and scandaling us out of good quality content. They've been lazy and taken the easy road out on everything they. From new content to boss design to weapon and class balancing. It's all been the lazy way out. Every boss in Y1 and some in Y2 have all been reskins of each other. They constantly reskin weapons and armor. An example of this is the RoI NM armor for the titan. They showed it in the cosmodrome reveal stream and it's just a red and white reskin of TTK vanguard and crucible armor. Our two "big" dlcs that imitate a new year into destiny, have had "new" enemies to fight. Oh wait, no they didn't. They had reskins of enemies we've been fighting since the alpha. Bungie promised us free dlc with the introduction of microtransactions. So far this was done once with the April update and that was the lazy way out as all they did was throw a lvl. 41 and 42 tag on old content, throw the same boring and reskinned enemy faction we've been fighting for months already into it, and added a scoring system to it. The "mission" lasted maybe five minutes and had us run about 100 yards. The new strike was the only good thing. Now with RoI, we have more reskinned weapons and armor, enemies, and bosses. For god's sake they are using the gjallarhorn as a preorder incentive. That's how low and desperate they've become.

This again? We've been over this many times. Get out of year one. If you want to discuss it further, you're welcome to come talk to me in my stream. But here? Muted.
-
Because they didn't lie. They never advertised TDB, HoW, or TTK as part of the game at release. TDB and HoW probably weren't even finished when Destiny launched, and I doubt TTK had made it past "oh here's a Dreadnaught playspace." Does it mean that Destiny didn't have a major development shift mid-production a la Halo 2? No. Does it mean that I'm entirely happy with Destiny and Bungie's/Activision's business practices? No. But I don't let it hamper my experience playing Destiny.
-
Yet you're still here...
-
Because I sank $140 into this game before I heard about the cut content. If I had known about that and all of my hard earned Y1 weapons and armor being left behind, I and many other players would not have got destiny.
-
So...you will not be paying $30 and playing RoI? Why not just quit now?
-
Because as stated before, I've already put $140 into this game. I would like to see how it ends, but I'm still thinking about it.
-
I guess if it was me, and I was so upset about a game/company/brand etc., I wouldn't sink another dollar into it. But to each his own. If you have fun being miserable playing a game you don't like and supporting a company you don't like, then more power to you :):)
-
I don't like quitting halfway through a project. I'm already here and I'm going to finish. If you like quitting halfway through things, more power to you.
-
Project? Buying and fixing up a house is a project. Playing a video game is not.
-
I started playing destiny to learn the story and the lore. Then after I started playing for a week I started to level up and got to about 24 and then I started working towards being able to do VoG. Same for TDB and then the HoW. Destiny, as it's all about the grind, is a project. I want to learn the rest of the story and the lore.
-
I guess I just don't see it that way. But you make a good point. I play strictly for entertainment value (I think my <1 KD can attest to that lol) and the grind is part of that for sure. Hopefully they end up putting in more lore and stuff IN GAME for the people who really get into that in Destiny 2.

I mainly play for fun as well. My k/d can also attest to that. But what I find fun, is constantly being ruined by the ridiculous "balance" patches for PvP crybabies. And I love playing games for their lore and story. Mass effect and dark souls have got some of the greatest lore and stories I've ever seen. Destiny's story campaign is lacking but the lore is not. I'm with you though. I wish that it was in game. I manly just watch YouTube videos about the lore. Destiny has got some amazing lore and backstory and I love hearing about it and I love working toward being able to do the raids and then doing them.
