Yes it would, the community doesn't ACTUALLY know what is best for the game, and certainly not the franchise as a whole. We offer one perspective. Community-"Do CBMM" Bungie-*Does CBMM* Community-"CBMM is terrible, do SBMM" Bungie-*does SBMM* Community-"this is bad too" ----- Community-"WE WANT CONTENT MORE OFTEN" Bungie-*small, free content drops more often* Community-"WE WANT MORE CONTENT" Bungie-*making ROI* ----- Community-"put the lore in the game" Bungie-*making TTK* Community-"MORE CUTSCENES" Bungie-*still making TTK* Destiny 2-*Dies do to lack of resources, time, or employees available because they are trying to please the community* -------

Edited by Elephant Head Saphy: 8/5/2016 6:19:17 PMCommunity- do CBMM Bungie- Does CBMM on the shit servers. Community - CBMM is terrible, do SBMM Bungie - Does SBMM on the same shitty servers without changing a thing. Community - we want more content Bungie - brings back old content that no one wanted and ignored the content that people wanted. (Btw you cant call events as content because events do not stay.) Community - we want more content Bungie - lets wait 3 years to finally give what's left of the community a tiny bit of what they want. Community - put more lore in the game Bungie - Lets put a bunch of mixed up, cut, and unfinished lore in then before we end a part of the lore lets completely change directions into new lore without explaining anything about the old lore and the new lore. Community - more cut scenes Bungie - put more cut scenes in Destiny 2 - dies because Bungie is full of idiots that destroyed their own game and lost their own community because of the arrogance of the Bungie's employees in charge of Destiny. And really the community doesn't know whats best for the game that they puts hors upon hours upon hours of time into. So you are going to tell me that Bungie knows what is best for the game? If they did the game wouldn't be in the state it is now.

Yes, they do. Destiny started out in a very deep hole, they are slowly climbing out. Destiny 2 will be its salvation, because they can redo everything that they didn't have time to fix before they launched destiny 1.
-
Edited by Elephant Head Saphy: 8/5/2016 6:49:27 PMOk are you serious right now. Destiny started in a hole that Bungie created when they decided to scrap the original story and throw one together in a couple weeks. And didn't have time to fix what they screwed up in the first place. Everything that was wrong with Destiny at launch was Bungie's own fault. They haven't known what's best for the game since the beginning hence why every since launch the game has been in decline, then when The Taken King came out it took a dive then again when the Spring Update came out.
-
I disagree. I'm trying to type this on iPad and I have accidentally canceled my rant twice, so I'll just leave it at that.
-
Maybe if you had your nose out of Bungie's anus you would be able to see what you are typing and not hit the delete button.
-
A- IT IS HARD TO TYPE ON AN IPAD B-BUNGIE IS GOOD, they have never done anything like this before, and they are trying. They have improved every step of the way, and Destiny 2 will be the biggest step yet.
-
Are you kidding me, improve, how have they improved Destiny. PvP is as unbalanced and laggy as ever, Years 1 guns would put Year 2 guns to shame, PvE has gotten so boring and the reward drops are garbage. Bungie has been lying to its community the entire time, they told us that our Year 1 time would not be wasted and when Year 2 came with the Taken King all of our Year 1time literally meant absolutely nothing. What did Year 1 players get for the time and money put into Year 1, oh that's right an emblem, shader, and sparrow, whooptie freaking doh, The Taken King bundle that came out was cheaper than buying Destiny Vanilla and both dlcs. So the statement that I got from that was Bungie didn't give a shit about the Year 1 players. And saying Destiny 2 will be the biggest step yet is not saying much about Destiny.
-
They improved strikes ALOT (aside form nightfall) Story is 1000000 times better Exotics are better Crucible maps are better RNG system is better Leveling system is better There ya go.
-
They did not improve strikes, the drops from strikes are garbage, story is not 1000000 times better the only thing that has changed was they added more story missions, Exotics are not even close to what they used to be, how are the crucible maps better? they are just different then what they had Year 1, Rng system is not better drops rates are still crap. At this point there is nothing I can say to pull you from Bungie's anus, your nose is no longer brown you have been there so long it turned black and died from lack of oxygen.
-
All I have to say to that is, you apparently either didn't play in year one, are too nostalgic to acknowledge its problems, or have gotten amnesia.
-
Edited by Elephant Head Saphy: 8/5/2016 9:28:12 PMI have been playing Destiny since the Beta, and I never said Destiny was perfect in Year 1, but it was a hell of a lot better Year 1 then it is now. It would have been even better if Bungie didn't screw it up in the first place when the scraped the original story.
-
I have been playing since the beta as well so here is my take on that. Was it fun? Absolutely. Did it have huge problems that would prevent it from reaching its full potential? Absolutely. Has Bungie fixed many of those problems? Absolutely. If we still had the same game that it was in Year one, we would be screaming for them to change it back within a week.
-
What problems in Year 1 prevented Destiny from reaching its full potential? Year 1 was a lot more fun, there was a lot more variety of weapons to use, people actually wanted the raid rewards and not like it is now where the only reason people want the raid rewards is to use them for infusing other weapons and armor. And btw if we still have the game like it was in Year 1 there would be a lot more people still playing, if anything they should have done the exact opposite of what Bungie did with destiny, release only a little bit at a time and make it more and more exciting as time went on instead of releasing everything good and fun at the beginning and then releasing complete crap after that and take away the very things that made the beginning fun.
-
The story was almost nothing, the light system was bad, the raid was the only way to level up. Was it more fun and addicting? Yes, but it didn't leave any way for it to grow as a franchise. I would rather play an amazing game in a year than a slightly better one in a month.
-
When you take the story from vanilla and compare it to now, obviously its going to be bigger when you add 3 dlcs to it. It had room to grow because of all the unanswered questions it had in Year 1, but what does Bungie do instead of continuing the story from year 1, they come out with a different story without finishing the multiple stories it left unfinished Year 1. And seriously Destiny Year 1 was amazing then they went downhill from there, I agree with playing a game that gets better and better as time goes on but Destiny is doing the very opposite, its getting worse and worse as time goes on. You only came up with 3 things that you say makes Year 2 better then Year 1, what about the list of things that makes Year 1 better then Year 2 that I had put in my comments that you seem to completely ignore. You keep agreeing with me that Year 1 was fun and addicting, but what about Year 2 makes it addicting? The endless grinds for weapons that have little too no use? The Sleeper Stimulant was supposed to be the Year 2 Gally but it fell extremely short of that. Am I saying its not fun to use, no, it can be fun to use, but it is not that useful in the big picture. Look at the Touch of Malice, the one use it has is in the Raid, the rest of the time it just sits in the vault or inventory so its not even close to worth the hassle you go through to get it. People did the Year 1 raids for the items because they were good items. The Year 2 raid's, King's Fall, weapons and armor are not that good at best, the only raid weapon that's decent is the heavy machine gun and there are better machine guns than that even. Since Destiny was supposed to be a mainly PvE game in the first place the only way to reach max light should be through the raid, you know the end game activity because that's what the story missions lead up to is doing the raid at the end. Earlier you said that the Exotics are better now then they were Year 1. Really, apparently you didn't use exotics in Year 1 or you would know that they were much better in Year 1 then Year 2.

How about this, describe in ONE word what YOU think of Destiny.
-
I cannot describe destiny in one word.
-
What you THINK of destiny. What single word that Destiny brings to mind
-
It would take more than a single word.
-
Fine, first thing that comes to mind about destiny, single phrase.
-
How money grabbing Bungie is.
-
You have to remember who the publisher is, Activision. They are always money hungry. Here's my "phrase"-Potential.
-
So you are telling me its not Bungie's fault at all for the money people have to pay for it. Its not Bungie's fault at all for every time its a new year in destiny a bundle comes out that is cheaper then what the people the year before have paid. Activision may be the publisher but its Bungie's game not Activision's game.
-
The biggest thing that I blame activision for is cutting destiny up and making them sell it as DLCs, but that's been over for a while, I also blame them for microtransactions. To answer your questions though, Bungie isn't some all powerful being, the people at bungie are humans too, they have to pay for their workers wages, and they have to pay for development. Look at it this way, I've paid ~$150 for my destiny experience, and I have gotten ~60 days of play time for that money, that's less than $1 for every 8 hours that I spend playing destiny. If that's not a good value, I don't know what is. The thing about the bundles is pretty simple, actually. They have to get new players to keep the game alive, and you don't get that with a $150 price tag.
