You can't measure skill until you yourself have played with that person. I have played with terrible people who have good kd and I've played with people with the worst kd you could've imagined and they did better than what their kd said they would. If you play with a bad team your kd can go down even if you did the best. If we are speaking trials than this is completely true. Bad teamwork will cause you to have a bad kd. You can't measure something with a broken ruler, or in this case you can't measure skill with a broken skill based measurement system.
