I'm actually amazed that Last-Gen players aren't trying to orchestrate a class-action suit against Bungie.

This isn't tongue-in-cheek, this isn't sarcastic, and this isn't even meant as a "haha you're stuck in the past" barb at the PS3 and 360 players. I'm just legit amazed that you guys haven't gotten together and said, "This is not what we were promised when we invested $60 - $100+ in buying this game and the updates that it turned out. We're not going to settle for this treatment and this kind of exclusionary behavior, just because we're less financially-capable of buying a next-gen console." Don't get me wrong, I 100% understand the hardware limitations that come with the older consoles, and I 100% understand that Destiny has just about reached that limitation on both machines. But it goes way beyond that, with all of the extra-steps they've been taking to proverbially cut the balls off of the last-gen players. They could've honestly just left it at, "You won't be getting the next big expansion, because it just can't support what we're trying to do with it." But Bungie has seen fit to not only cross the line, but barrel across it and then piss all over it once they're on the other side. > "You won't be getting exotics from Xur anymore." > "You won't be playing Trials of Osiris anymore; you won't be getting Trials-Gear anymore." > "You won't be playing Iron Banner anymore; you won't be getting Iron Banner-Gear anymore." > "You won't be enjoying the live-events like Festival of the Lost anymore." > "You won't be getting anymore updates to gear, and so you won't be getting higher light-levels anymore." And that's just a few things to list off. Bungie has basically told you guys, "The game's over until you decide to upgrade. Now go piss up a rope." All of this is why I'm amazed that these two communities haven't gotten together and said, "No. -blam!- that shit. Class-Action Lawsuit." Don't get me wrong; I'm on my Next-Gen console, personally. I'm 100% ready for the update and waiting eagerly for September. But as someone who's spent most of my life being stuck in "Last-Gen" situations, as far back as the PS2 era (I didn't get a PS2 of my own until almost 2005), I feel bad for you guys. To me, this just seems like you're getting a bad cut, no matter how you slice it.

  • A. They know they would lose B. The EULA States Bungie can alter, add, or discontinue anything they want at anytime, you agreed to it.

  • To be fair the only surprising thing they aren't getting anymore is xur idk why they care that much about the others. It's not like they would get new gear unless they got roi which they can't use anyway. Just cough up 400$ and buy a console that u can actually play on. If u still use old gen the only game u could be playing is destiny case they haven't gotten new ones in a while.

    • They can't take action against Bungie for the decision to drop the console. It happens. Honestly. Last gen console are broken completely. So many hackers and modders on those consoles.

    • You know there are other games on the ps3. They just play those until they have enough to get a ps4.

They would have no right to sue in the first place. Besides, Bungie isn't at fault for it in the first place. I don't know about the PS3, but Microsoft has stated that the 360 was only going to be supported for three more years after they revealed the Xbox one. It was suppose to end the 360 during the fall of 2016 or at the end of 2016. So guess what, it's 2016. Bungie isn't the only one to be letting go of the old systems, I'm sure allot of the other game developers are.

        • Really can't sue about anything but it makes Bungie look bad. Course nowadays it seems Bungie has caught the Activision bug and doesn't care at all if they piss people off. All about dah cha-ching.

        • What exactly is their case? They got every update they've paid for and everything in the update. They can still play the game, they just lose live updates luke xur and events. Bungie never said they'd continue to update destiny forever, and now it just so happens they are dropping last gen. They are said that they are dropping last gen because ps3/360 couldn't handle RoI. Wouldn't it be way worse if bungie let last gen players buy RoI but they got less content because they can't handle all of it?

        • Everyone agreed forfeit their right to sue bungie when they first loaded up the game. It's called a Terms of Service agreement.

        • It was bound to happen. It's happened to every single ongoing series that lasted long enough to live through multiple console life cycles. Besides, this game is something different for consoles in that it's a "living" game that's constantly being tweaked, added to, and worked on, so we're all in new territory. Some compromises are almost a given.

        • No attorney would take this case. It's a guaranteed loss. Like it or not, there's nothing legally binding they've ever said or done, that would cause this to even make it to court. When you agreed to the terms of service, you agreed to the possibility of this happening. End of story.

        • I'd love to upgrade but simply don't have the means or the motivation. I'm not spending hundreds of (more) dollars to continue to play this game since it's legitimately the only console game I play anymore. I'm so bummed that my favorite game over the past two years is basically dead after tomorrow. But whatever, they got their money out of me. 🙄

        • Most Destiny players haven't completed a raid. You expect a group like that to be able to put together a class action lawsuit? Amazing how everyone's a lawyer on the internet.

          • I'll bet that once the old-gen players own the current-gen, they'll going to have the biggest smile, from ear-to-ear, and even bigger smile than the Joker. They will easily forget the whole problems.

Also, it drops Y3 gear and again, no access to Y3. 3) should I repeat my mantra? Y3 drops, no access to Y3 stuff. Light levels enabled disadvantages Y2 players. 4) you mean like in Y1? They're oft complained about anyways. 5) because, and this might be surprising to you ITS ALL YEAR 3 GEAR AND THESE CONSOLES HAVE BEEN DENIED Y THREE THINGS BECAUSE THEY CANNOT GET RISE OF IRON!
