Sympathy. We pay 50-100 dollars for this game and two years later, left in the dust.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not but with this forum it's sometimes hard to tell.

I'm not. I literally like this game a whole lot, but the fact that Bungie/Activision decides to do this makes me angry.

I don't blame anyone for being pi$$ed off with what's happening if they're a legacy owner. A friend of mine just has the vanilla copy on ps4 but can barely do anything as he doesn't have any of the dlc so he's locked out of even things like dailys, NF's etc. It seems a bit messed up but I guess Bungie and Activities are businesses and we are their cash cows.
