If you're working at a company and being paid minimum wage for 25 years and you get laid off, you don't expect to receive your last paycheck? Would you call that entitlement? Because if you don't, then you have no right to comment on this subject whatsoever. Maybe this is why the community is broken up. It shows how careless people are to their fellow gamer. It shows that people like you should be more focused on helping yourself than playing a game that is dedicated to playing with others who enjoy what you do. You don't deserve to be in a public setting like this if you can't have any degree of empathy for people who struggle.

Theoretically speaking, of course. It was just a representation for how little content Bungle has actually given us over an extended period of time. I'd be legit impressed if you managed to make minimum wage for 25 years.

  • You have 57 days of playtime and that's assuming you haven't deleted any characters. Even if you've been playing since beta that's pretty good value based on what you spent for the games.

Most of the content I play is PvP. I only play this game because I have yet to buy a lot of other games to play.

  • No matter how you look at it though you have gotten your money's worth and then some.

I look at "getting my money's worth" as being more than satisfied with a product and how well it does what it's supposed to do. Destiny has been just barely satisfactory about 50% of the time. Think of it like this. Let's say Minecraft (love the game, as simple as it is) is a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, and Destiny is a used, 1997 Hyundai Sonata. The Porsche is giving me my money's worth because it does what I want it to, and it does it with near-flawless performance-- along with some extra stuff that I didn't expect. The Hyundai doesn't give me my money's worth because it performs the bare minimum with less-than-flawless performance.

  • 57 days of playing the game tells me you love that used Hyundai lol otherwise you would be driving the Porsche much more often.

  • Final paycheck? Absolutely. Extra pay checks after they have already given me what I worked for? Hell no.

Lol, don't equate this to real life struggles. Playing the game is fine but special events and updates are not included nor do those people deserve some kind of special treatment or an apology. If you own old tech you know this is coming, it's been that way for years in so many different areas. Quit crying about it and either buy current gen or not and if you don't then at least you were given that opportunity. Edit: The last paycheck was the update this week btw.

Do you really think this has no correlation to real life? You think there wasn't a kid who had parents who bought him or her an old console and maybe a game or two, when they really couldn't afford it? You think no one had that problem when this game came out? You are an extremely narrow-minded person if you believe a lick of that, and you have no understanding of what a struggle is. There are people who never even purchased the DLC. Any of it. Know why? Because they couldn't afford to buy it. Their old system and everything they own was either a hand-me-down or bought with money that wasn't really meant for it. And maybe, just maybe, that game is an escape from that kid's life, even if it's only for an hour. "Saving 50 cents a day" means nothing to the struggling man/woman, because you're not in a position to save that 50 cents. You need to use all of it just to live in a semi-decent state.

  • I totally agree and yeah the struggle is real but those kids are happy because they got something cool to play with. What's not cool is then to expect that you should be given everything in future for free because the world is a harsh place, quit asking for hand outs and do something about it.
