"Yup that how most people are though but thats why certain races can take human form though so they can adapt and survive but not for very long though. If leyla was a full blooded mermaid like her mother was she would be mainly near water cause she wouldn't be able live outside of it for very long. They also turn back into one at sun down. But the only one thing that her and mother have in common is that they can turn into one when hit enough with water."says talath
