"Ah.. Interesting.. How did you two even meet? It's surprising that you both lived through your meeting.. Unless he,"
He nodded to Leonidas,
"Was always a Heretic."

"Nah! Leonidas was actually following the Emp for a time. We met. Kicked each others asses. And then I showed him the lie he was living!" Leonidas nodded and looked at the Templar. "I hope I can do the same to you."
-
"The lie he was living.. Excuse me for asking, but what Chapter were you? You certainly weren't a Black Templar.. And do try.." He said, looking back at Leonidas, the helmet being back on his head at the time.
-
Leonidas stood still when the mentioning of his previous Chapter. "No. I cannot. I took an oath." He looked away, as if it sprouted bad memories. Iratus put a hand on Leonidas' shoulder.
-
The Templar said a soft, "oh," and went very silent afterwards, just standing still in silence for a while. Then it was like he wanted to say something, but ended up changing his mind.
-
Leonidas let out a sigh of relief as it was over. The terrors of his mind subsided. Leonidas looked back at the Templar. "So what now?"
-
The Templar responded with a very simple and soft, "Convince me." It should be obvious what he was talking about. And if it wasn't: he wanted Leonidas to.. open Skatai's eyes.
-
Leonidas looked at the Templar. "When was the last time you saw the Emperor?"
-
The Templar just looked back at Leonidas, staring as he carefully said, "I don't think I've ever seen Him.."
-
"Then prove he exists."
-
oshit
The Templar fell silent, thinking as he looked down at the ground. "I.. can't.." He very silently said, almost like a whisper.
-
"Then why do you worship a concept that you aren't even sure exists?" His voice was full of concern and pity.
-
"Because it was hammered in there for as long as I remember.. Whatever happened, they said the Emperor.." He closed his eyes with a deep breath, his shoulders hanging low.
-
"How do you know the Imperium isn't ruled by a group of Fanatics? How do you know the Military isn't corrupt?"
-
The Templar didn't respond, just slowly shaking his head in silence. Then he spoke up again, his voice silent and monotone, "I don't.."
-
"Your superiors are brainwashed sociopaths. Killing innocents because they have an opinion."
-
"I get it! I get it, I get it.. I understand.. It was all a lie.. But.. you're lying.. Then.. No.. Yes? I don't know.. I don't know, I just don't.. I don't want to believe you, but honestly.. I do.."

-
Skatai's shoulders returned to their normal position, and he looked back up at Leonidas with a nod. "Guess I'm a Heretic now.."
-
Leonidas chuckled and shook his head. "You have officially adopted common sense, friend."
-
"It's still.. foreign.. It was all a damn lie.. Only, why? Why did they lie to us." He shook his head with a very deep sigh. "I'm Skatai Neotar of the Black Templars."
-
"Leonidas of Deathwatch." "Iratus of.....uh.....Khorne?"
-
"Deathwatch and a Khorne Berzerker.. Never thought I'd see those together.. Not that I didn't know you were of Deathwatch, of course."
-
Edited by Xeno: 7/29/2016 7:12:35 PM"Yes. We do pride ourselves." "I just like skulls, really. And armor. And spikes. And cereal..."
-
"I like.. not dying," Skatai replied to Iratus. "And purging the unclean."
-
"As long as you categorize the "unclean" as those who threaten what little of the Imperium we have left, then we'll get along just fine."
