If we were talking about any other developer, I'd fully accept the "coming soon" line as truth. But Bungie is so unbelievably dishonest, I'm starting to think Xbox isn't getting a pre-order option for RoI.
Now maybe I missed some news. I've taken a major Destiny hiatus to play some other games, including the Master Chief Collection. I never played Halo as a kid (sad but true). These games are freaking awesome! I wish the studio that made them still existed and could help Bungie out a bit.
At any rate, what do you guys think? Is Xbox even getting a pre-order option?
And also, if you're in the States, please consider voting for John 117/Cortana (I know) for president.
EDIT: Deadlyknights79 knew the answer:
"It's a licence issue with MS, you can not preorder something that does not exist as a digital download
Right now there is no Rise of Iron that can be downloaded yet, when it's ready then you will be able too."

I wouldn't be surprised if destiny 2 is a ps exclusive at this point.
-
There will definitely be a pre-order. As long as it's available week of release, it should be all good.
-
Why would anyone be worried about it. Am i worried about not being able to give Bungo my money months before i can pay a game? -blam!- no.
-
It's getting you guys ready for Destiny2 to be a PlayStation exclusive.
-
TTK preorder didn't go live until really close to release if I remember correctly. It was available on Playstation way earlier. I still preordered from gamestop though, since it had the best preorder option
-
I preordered it all ready for the Xbox one thru Gamestop
-
If you understand how pre-order systems work... There is nothing to worry about. Ps4 gets a "ticket" to say they paid for it and can dl it free at a later time. In Xbox you dl the full game right then with a time lock on it...

That poll pole though. ;)

As long as you can get it the day before it drops, it's still considered pre-ordering.
