We are all insignificant in this unfathomably large universe that has no reason to care about a single species that doesn't help its own kind in need and that still kills each other over skin color, what others want to do with their genitals, and which version of the invisible man in the sky to believe in.

As humans we make a big impact at where we're most concentrated. So of course we're insignificant to the universe. But we're significant on earth because we affect the planet and each other. Sometimes it's a good effect, other times it's a bad effect, but it's still there. However, if you were to think using multiverse theory, then you could argue that one human impacts the universe greatly because there's at least one universe where that human is different or doesn't exist.
