The Flaming Knight of Heaven
Theresa's prelude for the not-upcoming quest.
Theresa's first day at the dojo had been an eventful one. She had met many people, and then fought a tough fight against Yuria.
As she polishes and sharpens Rose of Flames by the fireplace in her room, she hears a soft knocking at her door. She goes to open it, and standing there is a tall knight, about 6'7". He wears a helmet, obscuring his face, although Theresa seems to recognize him.
"What do you want, Knight Ephiateus?"
"You seem to not acknowledge the fact that you fled the Knights of Heaven, Knight Theresa."
"I know well enough of my own actions, but that does not answer what you are doing here."
"I thought it would be obvious. I'm here to bring you back."
"You are in no place to-"
Suddenly, a crashing noise can be heard. Two knights equally as tall as Ephiateus jump in through the windows, drawing their swords.
"We knew you wouldn't come willingly, Knight Theresa. Rose of Flames or not, you cannot take on three of us."
All the commotion attracts you.
Open. Your options are
>Aid Theresa
>Aid the Knights
Nora sighs "Fine." She looks to the floor. A small trail of blood leading outside. It seems as though she nicked the Knight from earlier
-
"Are we following Ephiateus?"
-
"He's unfinished business."
-
"Why kill him? He no longer has his weapon."
-
"Who said we were killing him? We just have to insure he doesn't come back for you"
-
"Okay...." Nora and Theresa soon reach were Ephiateus ran off to, but Arthur had beat them to it. They hide in the bushes, watching. "I'm disappointed, Ephiateus. Look what my descendant has become-a weakling, relying on a legendary sword, to steal yet another one?" "P-please, King Arthur... spare me....." Ephiateus is lying on the ground, wounded. Arthur stands over him, and be looks furious. "And you run from the consequences of you own actions! You are the polar opposite to the ideals of the Knights of Heaven!"
-
Nora watches silently
-
"N-no, the sword... it belonged to the knights-" "A sword belongs to it's rightful owner!" An aura of immense power radiates from Arthur. "Give me a reason not to kill you." "I'm-I'm a general, of the Knights of Heaven... you founded-" "The Knights of Heaven has nothing to do with this!" "Th-then, I helped in the n-near annihilation of the L-Legion of Dragons...." "The Legion of Dragons are not our enemies!" "I-I KILLED GULDAN-" "Ignorant bastard! You do not deserve to live any longer!" Arthur raises Excalibur, and within seconds, Ephiateus' head rolls on the ground, as his body slowly burns up.
-
Nora sighs, looking at the ground "I must tell him"
-
"Tell him what? Tell who what?"
-
Nora walks off. In search of Fentis
-
Fentis is sitting on a bench, arguing with Clari about something or the other.
-
"Fentis."
-
"Huh? Yeah?" Fentis replies. Clari looks up.
-
Nora shows sadness "I know who killed him. Who killed Guldan."
-
Fentis blinks, surprised. "Really? Who?"
-
Nora turns over to Teresa "What was his name again?"
-
"Ephiateus." "Really? Ephiateus killed Guldan? Guldan must've been asleep or something, for that to have happened."
-
"Ephedrine had Excalibur in his possession.
-
"Excalibur? You have got to be joking. Either way, Guldan had Dragonblade in his possession, how could he have lost?"
-
"What is Dragon Blade?"
-
"You've never heard of The Dragonblade? It's the sword Guldan used, the polar opposite of Rose of Flames, the one Theresa uses. The Dragonblade was formed by the black dragon Zyilnoph. Zyilnoph was born when the first human killed another out of pure hatred. The Dragonblade is a legendary sword equivalent in power to the Rose of Flames, very similar, but also very different. And, Guldan being a master swordsman, he could not have lost to Ephiateus, who was more than likely not the rightful owner to Excalibur."
Zyilnoph is the dragon that is inside Saelis
-
"I see."
-
"Anyway, I don't doubt Ephiateus had a part in Guldan's death. He's the most cowardly knight I've ever laid eyes upon. Oh, hello, Theresa." Theresa nods, not will to speak to somebody associated with the Legion of Dragons. "What the shit are you nerds going on about?" Clari looks annoyed.
-
"Good to see you too Clari."
