That's the ONLY advantage of holding A. Completely negated by the fact that, by the time you get anywhere with your heavy ammo, 6 meatheads with rocket launchers are laying in wait for you to stick your head out so they can blow it into tiny, tiny pieces. And then hit you with another salvo after you respawn. Good times...

Holding A + C works better for me than B + C. Whatever works for you, I guess.
