Because I know that someone on my team will go take Zone A and flip our spawn. EVERY -blam!-ING TIME. Even when we control both B and C, they will go take A.
And if the enemy starts taking C, causing the spawn to flip, the randoms won't do the smart thing and go fight to take it back. Hell no. Too much work. They'll go over to the unoccupied and undefended Zone A and proudly take it. Sometimes they'll dance, the morons. It never occurs to them that there's a REASON it's undefended: the other team is BEGGING YOU to go take it.
WILL YOU FOR THE LOVE OF CRAP STOP DOING THIS.
A Control match on Shores of Time, between 2 teams that both know what they're doing, will revolve around taking zones B and C. The only time ANYONE will take A is when Bravo takes it as their first zone. After that, there is NO reason whatsoever to ever see any announcement regarding Zone A. NONE. WHATSOEVER. I don't care if you lost all your zones; go take B or C. DON'T take A. It just makes things worse.

STOP IT. JUST STOP. DON'[T TAKE ZONE A.

Why I cringe when I see OPs kd in crucible.
-
Gotta love the "if I kill them I win" attitude in control
-
During this IB, the teams I found that did the most damage in both zonal and kills are: Not the ones that held onto the control points but moved as a team taking each point at a time. Take A, move on and take B then move on to take C.

I'm glad you wrote this so I don't have to spend time doing it myself. Thank you.

Edited by SherpaDerpa: 7/25/2016 3:21:29 PMI played a game there where my team spawned C side and MY WHOLE TEAM ran from C to A....... *facepalm*

Zone A is like a red button and all the morons are deedees that want to push that -blam!-ing button -_-
-
Edited by HavoXPrice: 7/25/2016 1:31:14 PMI cringe because I know I'm gonna fall off the map at least 3 times.

I'm so tired of everyone using the word cringe.

Psst Bunker down Zone A and everyone stay there as they will come to you. Its a tightly sealed room where you have advantage on the inside from all 3 doors. Hold out and rack up kills OR... As soon as they come all jump off the cliff behind you. Now theyre at A and you all spawned on the good side. Checkmate
-
Shores of time is the most one sided map
-
I have actually seen a match where "a" remained untaken the entire game. It was weird and a bit overkill actually. May as well take A when you spawn there at least! haha (just definitely not when it's' already controlled)
-
I know... I still don't understand why.
-
lol I close my eyes and say "please C side please please" since I solo queue getting A side is basically GG.
-
This is why I dont play alone anymore......
-
...You love crap?...
-
Because I know that my team will sprint to A when we first spawn and -blam!- it all up.
-
Back when TTK just came out and my friend were still playing... 1 day, we decided to mess around and just keep the A flag. Normally we spawn trap the shit out of teams, but thought let's do something different. Let them keep the 2 flags, knowing a team will just wait for you to go after them. Watch them get impatient and come towards us just waiting for them. So we camped the A side. And never left. We waited for them to come through chokepoints that A side players normally have to go through, and won the game pretty easily. Aside from a few titan hammers (which were OP then), the other party of 4 people I think + 2 randoms, were too impatient and kept coming to us. The game went all the way to the time limit, but we won by a few thousand points... like 18,000 to 13,000 or something. That's not possible to do with random teams, but with just 1 crappy flag, we still managed to beat the shit out of another team.

Sniper's heaven :) love the map

Lmfao!! https://youtu.be/1VshHFkLAK0

Which is why one would choose to cap A and C and leave B to the other team.

Edited by Brockie: 7/26/2016 2:01:22 PMYou know it is actually feasible to win with A and B on that level. Yes I know. The internet. Indeed. The Internet does say that is impossible. That always reliable source of information for everyone. I have seen vastly more games thrown away by players mindlessly hurling themselves into a meat grinder desperately trying to get C, than I have actual losses caused by holding A and failing to get B. Yes, holding C does give some advantage. However in PuG's that advantage is not as big as the internet would have you believe, and absolutely not worth conceding thirty kills to obtain. Play smart, cap C if the opportunity arises. Don't lose trying to follow the strategy the internet says.
-
True.
-
Sigh... Your KD is so low it matters not, what the other players on the team do. Your team could hold A,B and C and still manage to get rekt.
savage
