The woman steps out of the gates and leads you to a clearing.
She does a small bow
"I am Nora."
English
-
Stian stops fiddling with his cross and grasps it tightly. "Yes. Honorable. To be filled with honor. No other beings were able to consistently hold that trait so dearly."
-
"Not exactly the word I'd use."
-
"Then please, enlighten me"
-
"Forgetful. Careless. Selfish."
-
Stian stopped walking and had a white-knuckle grip on his cross. "What would make you think that they would gain these titles? Such is a grave accusation"
-
"Perhaps the ones you know of. The ones you believe in, are good and just." Nora turns, staring at him "But ones I have known. Are liars. With the occasional honest one." "Manus. Father of the Abyss. Cared for power." "Gwyn? What did he do? Sent someone else to kill Manus."
-
"This is why they are still mortal. Still human, in a sense. This is why I do not worship but I follow. A God is infallible, but a leader is. That is to be understood. Surely there must have been something they have done to gain some amount of respect from someone"
-
She turns entering the dojo "Then there was the psycho ex god Mortar. Royal's DOUCHE of a father. Let's not forget ex god shadow."
-
"I have met Mortar... And I can tell you. Extraordinary being or not, he is not a god"
-
"He was. Very long ago."
-
"I have met a god. Briefly. And it was something that truly men can only dream of. There was power, more than I had ever seen. For a short while I thought I was on par with one of these beings. But after that meeting... I realized how small we are"
-
"Which one?"
-
"Tyr, God of justice and law. Aside from my personal thoughts, he was truly something to behold. Unrestricted power. He radiated energy like a star. Mortar had none of this"
-
"As I said. It was a while ago."
-
"Regardless, power like that grants more than just likelihood to win in battle. It comes with a presence. An aura. Even if the power is lost the aura is not. I felt nothing like that near Mortar. I felt... Nothing. Even the tiniest seed has a breathe. A soul. But not Mortar. It was as if he wasn't there. No imprint on the world..."
-
"Maybe because he was Undead. And now he's literally dead." She sighs as she stops outside a door "Here we are. I'll speak with the lieutenants for you."
-
Stian nods. "Alright. If you can just tell me where the rooms are, I'll head up to wait"
-
"This is it. Right here." She opens the door revealing a full apartment
-
"Excellent! If you need me for anything else, go ahead and knock. But don't expect me to be quick. We all must rest" Stian walked through the door and dropped his bags. Before Nora left, he spoke to her. "Hey Nora. Just keep in mind gods are as various as people. It's what they are"
-
Nora nods before she walks off
-
Stian locks the door right after Nora leaves and speaks. "baciann" A thin film of magic overlaid the door. It would make a deafening sound if it were tried to be breeched. Stian laid in the bed and closed his eyes. He almost immediately fell asleep
