Okay so I just randomly thought of this: It charges but instead of shooting bolts it shoots a single charged orb of electricity that slowly moves and zaps anything that gets close to it. Anything that actually touches the orb loses health steadily but if you stay in it for long enough (like if you're running away from it and you don't veer out of the path) it will kill you (in pvp) but also you can upgrade it to have a "bolts from the blue" perk sorta like Zhalo where as if you're close enough to the orb it will zap you every few seconds that do about as much as a normal bolt from a fusion rifle. (If you've ever played Terraria it's kinda like the lighting orb spell thing that you get from Duke Fishron) But for instance if you just run through the orb in PvP it won't do very much damage. And you can let go of the charge whenever you want but it will change how much damage you can do with it and how far it goes and how big the orb is.
Sorry that some of the information is jumbled up in this huge wall of text.
I know some of the damage numbers could be hard to balance but it would be a huge utility weapon for PvE and a very fun weapon in PvP.
If there is a better place to put this or someone I could send this idea to so that someone (anyone) from Bungie could see it I would really love it if you could point me in the right direction.
