I personally feel that slow rate of fire auto rifles need a [b]SLIGHT[/b] base damage buff. They simply cannot compete with scout rifles, hand cannons, or pulse rifles. They're to popular and statistics are way better, making auto rifles very, very outplayed. The usage of auto rifles are [b]VERY LOW, [/b]and I would like to see all guns equal in PvP. Feel free to [b]LEAVE A LIKE [/b]on this post, I would love to see what the majority of the community thinks :D. I really want Bungie to do a little something to auto rifles so they are viable. [b]NOT TALKING ABOUT HIGH FIRE RATE AUTO RIFLES[/b]. We all know about the "Doctrine Of Passing".

  • I've got a Shadow Price with Crowd Control and Perfect Balance that I adore. If high impact Autos got buffed it'd be the only thing I ever use.

    • Hard Light in particular needs a buff. Maybe even buff its glass half full perk to increase the damage a little bit more than the perk normally does.

    • The low RoF and medium RoF just aren't competitive anymore, they take way too long to kill, I say they need a damage buff, low RoF should be doing about 30-32 precision at optimum range and medium should be doing about 25. I also think the damage fall off is too extreme.

              • Yea they do but let me put it this way if they get a buff they may become to much for all the whiners that will put up nerf post for pvp. Auto rifles need a buff for pve so they can do the same there suppose to for as many bullets that come out of many of the auto rifles. But if they get a pve buff it will buff them for pvp an everyone will start to have problem with them. So what would happen to pvp if the doctrine or soulstealer get a buff in damage an impact because we want them to do damage in pve. I see so many people getting there panties in a twist an saying nerf auto rifles because they do what there suppose to do after a buff to help them in pve. So as much as I can say that yes they need a buff for pve cause alot of auto rifles would do well in pve if they had the correct amount of damage an impact they need to be buffed in pve only an stay as they are for pvp. But then again someone will see what I said an insult me rather then have a decent discussion so maybe this make since to people or I'll just get insulted an disrespected an I'll just report you.

              • Almost every AR needs a base stability buff. They're unusable without having to sacrifice any creativity with perks for some kind of balance perk. Slow RoF Are in particular need an increased magazine size

              • They can't seem to get auto rifles right. They were amazing, got nerfed into trash. They buffed them they were amazing! Since they were so amazing they nerfed them. They were still awesome! So they nerfed again. Now they are trash again.

                  • They need a buff, but knowing Bungie they will overdue it and make them overpowered. Then instead of nerfing the popular OP gun Grasp of Malok by itself like a lot of people are speculating they will just blanket nerf all pulse rifles instead and make them terrible.

                          • I think more of a range Boost for slow rate of fire ones , Slow = longer Range , Medium = medium Range , bullet hoses = close range , right now the Slow rate of fire ones lose on every range type , almost as bad as Slow Rate Pulse riffles

                              • I wouldn't call it a buff or nerf for the weapon classes anymore. I think they all need a slight adjustment. I mean minute adjustments. Barely anything changed. I think we are finally getting to a point were weapons feel pretty balanced. Aka f*** thorn! Jk 😉

                                  Yes I agree, feel they are outmatched by literally every other weapon type. Base damage increase (let's say 5%-8%) would be fair. Haakons, DoP, and other high Rof auto rifles perform at a pretty decent rate of success in pvp matches, and excel at both lowering shields, killing ads and majors from a pve standpoint. Low rof however, have little use for both types. A slight buff to accuracy/ target acquisition would nice too; I see that as an optional buff as lower rate of fire should help being the main argument with that. #Bungie Edit: after some thought, a more minor damage buff to medium rof autos as well.

                                  • I voted yes, but ONLY the low ROF variety. I personally wish that autos inflicted less flinch, but that's a minor argument not worth a dime; doctrine and the likes are balanced enough.

                                      I brought a year 1 Her Right Hand into Crucible the other day as I was working on finishing the crucible questline for MoT and it was the best auto that I still had. (I run solely on scouts nowadays for both PvE and PvP) It wasn't awful. Had a couple bad games but I was actually picking up a couple kill-streaks with it. Could its archetype use a buff? Sure. I was getting a little outmatched by the normal crucible god-weapons. But it wasn't awful and I was able to get the step done very quickly for a guy who hadn't picked up an auto in months.
