I personally feel that slow rate of fire auto rifles need a SLIGHT base damage buff. They simply cannot compete with scout rifles, hand cannons, or pulse rifles. They're to popular and statistics are way better, making auto rifles very, very outplayed. The usage of auto rifles are VERY LOW, and I would like to see all guns equal in PvP. Feel free to LEAVE A LIKE on this post, I would love to see what the majority of the community thinks :D. I really want Bungie to do a little something to auto rifles so they are viable. NOT TALKING ABOUT HIGH FIRE RATE AUTO RIFLES. We all know about the "Doctrine Of Passing".

Quick note, consider question 3 "No" to be that you Despise the idea of that happening. I could see why if people think that it would be "Year One" all over again. Me and a lot of other people just want a small base damage buff to slow fire rate auto rifles. Or just a range buff, either way something needs to be done. I just want to use my Year One "Her Right Hand" again. Without the struggle of getting out played in the crucible by top tier weapons like the "Grasp Of Malok", "MIDA Multi- Tool", and "Last Word".

I've been an AR user since my first character hit 40 and upgraded my Suros Regime. Although I wouldn't argue if they received any kind of buff, I think AR's are fine just the way they are. Right now I use Her Memory, Hakons Hatchet, and just recently Answering Chord(which wrecks shop FYI). I've never had an issue with keeping up and most of the time I get killed it's either situational or the person was just better than me, not my gun being underpowered. I can agree with everyone talking about slow RoF guns and as I said, wouldn't argue a buff to them. All in all I'm happy with the state they're in and will continue outshooting Mida's from mid range with my Answering Chord. 😁 As for Mida's, I'm assuming this Iron Banner is overloaded with them thanks to Xûr. Yes, that's how I got mine and I still don't agree they should put the "upper echelon" of exotics with Xûr, but at the same time I wasn't passing it up lol. First full match using it in Iron Banner I got 23 kills(a few of those were shotgun) and that thing is ridiculous, just doesn't fit my play style so I'll continue with an AR and shotgun but I can see why so many use it now at least.

Edited by Rebellis: 7/25/2016 11:48:21 AMHigh impact autos feel weak even in PvE, especially against shielded majors. No reason to use them when scout and pulse rifles do better in close-to-mid range engagements. They need a slight damage buff and mag size increase. Machine guns also need some attention for PvE.

F*ck yeah bring y1 shadow price days.
-
No, bring back thorn/tlw shotty meta instead.

-
Lol so basically bring back beta auto rifles, that's what everyone ran in beta autos and fusion rifles
-
Buff to the lower RoF archetypes only, sure. I miss my Shadow price / Vanquisher VIII :P
-
They are fine if you have a decent roll. My suros regime was competing just fine this week.
-
High impact everything could use a small buff IMO. Only possible exception being snipers.
-
Slow rate of fire auto rifles, yes.
-
Buff low RoF damage Buff medium RoF damge Buff high RoF stabillity so I dont HAVE to use counterbalance, but hit the range hard
-
Edited by wolfsierra117: 7/25/2016 8:38:01 AMHigh and medium impact: yes Low impact: no, slight nerf in stability, they are way to stable for their fire rate
-
Buff doctrine of passing adept needs a buff, keep the normal version how it is if you go flawless you deserve better rewards than someone who got it from a bounty. No I'm not a flawless sweaty trying to f**k over noobs I only have the normal version so I would be f**king over myself but hey fairs fair.

Aren't option 2 & 3 the same? Why have three choices when 2=3... Logical inconsistencies aside, AR's are in a good place, I'll bet they are still the most equipped Primary in this IB My Answering Chord with Perfect Balance, Rifled barrel & Hidden hand wrecks. SUROS does need a slight buff or just undo the nerf to Spinning Up Doctrine is still viable post- 2nd nerf and Monte Carlo with Send It is very effective. This IB I particularly enjoyed using Hard Light again with maxed stability, surprisingly strong TL:DR - AR's as general Primary class are fine. Only SUROS needs some attention to restore it to an Exotic feel
-
I say yes for low rof and mediums, no for high. That said , man am I tired of the multi tool, literally whole teams full of them this IB must account for 80% of my total deaths this time around.
-
I just inked a reign of terror exclusively with my izdubar-d, so no.
-
I tear through people with the Khvostov and the Zhalo supercell, they seem pretty balanced to me
-
The Suros Regime deserves to sit The Iron Throne of Crucible primary weapons once more!!!!!!!
-
Slow rof yes and guns like righteous vii only need a very slight buff to damage but more than 0.04%
-
High impact autos definitely need a buff.
-
Is the righteous vii a slow rate of fire ar

Got a 335 Regime drop the other day; forgot how much I loved this gun. Ammo used to be the biggest issue with it, doesn't seem too bad at the mo.' Focused Fire is good too. Played with a guy using it for Glogoroth Challenge mode for his gaze, worked pretty well. Only problem if they buffed it a bit more and other autos, people would grizzle like -blam!- on here and the nerf hammer falls...
-
Seem to be so far, majority wants them to be buffed. I do to, they simply can't compete with Pulse rifles, hand cannons, and scout rifles. We as a community just need a very slight base damage buff to make them viable when going against other top tier weapon types. But obviously leave the high rate of fire alone. The "Doctrine Of Passing" is still very viable as we all know.
-
Just Fabian Strategy.
-
More like doctrine of kicking my assing. That things a BEAST. I had a guy wrecking me with it the other day. Yes I know I know judging by my K/D ratio that's not too hard. Well maybe it would be if you would CAPTURE THE -blam!-ING ZONES SO I DONT HAVE TOO DAMN IT!!!
juuuust kidding I just recently got into PvP and its pretty fun now
