The Microsoft mistake (Free emotes?)
Ok so by now pretty much everyone knows Microsoft screwed the pooch and accidentally gave away the exclusive emotes, shaders, and class items for free and are currently working with Bungie to take it away from people who didn't buy the collector's edition. I'm pretty much OK with that except it's been ten months Bungie. There's no reason to continue to have exclusives in this game. Just let us buy the damn items from Eververse and bump up silver profits a little bit instead of bending us over a barrel and making us pay yet again for TTK.
I'm pretty much against exclusives in general. Hasn't been right since the days when PlayStation got screwed by it and it isn't right now with Xbox getting the short end.

Can't you buy the collectors stuff for 20 bucks? Would also be nice if they allowed us to buy the vanilla collector stuff (ship and ghost) since they don't carry over if you switch from last gen to current.

so if by chance every one got the Nepal shader with out donating, should they be allowed to keep it. I mean people paid money for it.

This happened with fallout 4 a few weeks back it was free as was all the dlc ..it was a mistake on M$ part and the took it back

Wow people. It's called collector's gear for a reason. It's not fair to anyone who paid for it, and it's not able to be bought now because it was for the hardcore fans who were willing to spend more money for ttk.

I never paid for the items but enjoyed using them. I deleted my cloak but kept the shader and emote. Other packages are still in the postmaster. Bungie has every right to take back what wasn't paid for UNLESS they say it's a gift. Unfortunately Bungie isn't saying that so come Monday I figure all of these items will mysteriously disappear from our respective inventories. No big deal. I got to see what the Hunter cloak, purple shader & sprinkler emote were like.

2 RepliesThis error brought back so many people to Destiny this weekend, it's amazing. A lot of them haven't played in a while or even since December. Most of them don't know that it's a bug and just think that Bungie is giving them a "loyalty gift" or something connected to Rise of Iron. I've met guys like that this weekend through LFG or in the wild. I didn't wanna crush their dreams by telling them "Sorry bud, this stuff is gonna be taken away from you as soon as it's possible". I know it's something that's not supposed to have happened, but when it gets fixed Destiny is gonna be a lot poorer, player wise, than it ever was. Some people will take this personally.
