400 days and no updates! (Payday 2)

This is just shameful, and I'm a moron for buying into this twice. I was there for the Xbox 360 and waited for a year for updates to come out and got barely anything. Then I gave them a chance with the Xbox One and when that came out? Broken, they just failed bringing it over to Xbox One, multiplayer with randoms did not work. It took months to get anything to fix that. Now for any kind of new heist or content they offer it has been 400 days. The update videos was only false up and to string us along. Nothing has been done.
For those who have no idea whats going on, this video covers the timeline of it basically of Overkill screwing people over. Minus the added information they wanted to put into the video.

1 ReplyYeah it's a shame. My friend who likes this game wants to play the Hardcore Henry update real bad. He recently got around to going prestige, up to prestige 4 or 5 to get prepared for these updates on console. But if memory serves right, isn't Overkill horrible at keeping file sizes for their updates reasonable?

They have the update ready to go, and its been done. As soon as they became independent again they could no longer update the game on ps4 and Xbox one. They are waiting to be approved again.

So much of what was said in that video, especially in the conclusion can be applied to so many other developers, usually to less extents though. It seem like for ever good publisher/developer out there, there are five slimy ones.

Too little too late. By the time they update it, nobody will care. People [i][b]already[/b][/i] don't care about that game. The console version was handled horribly.

Its been like 5 years and no update on consoles, i lost all respect for that company and i will never give them a single dime. Had it on 360 and my friends pressured me into getting it on the xbone. Waste of $15

Payday 2 is a cash cow for Overkill. They're too busy developing DLC to provide updates. I feel bad for the people who still play that game. I tried it when it was free; I deleted it from my hard drive after a few hours. The techno music that plays is annoying, the gameplay wasn't interesting, and it was overall pretty boring.
