Do you like fillers? I like fillers. You should like fillers. I'll make you like fillers. Maybe.
PsychicSquid98, Drokantoro and The Templar's characters are here to break faces. Mostly.
Never Threaten Friends
It was quite the day for the Tower
to have gotten hold of a rogue Hunter raising a Fallen. The spectacle would be gossiped about for a while and no one could stop such a thing. The words spread easily throughout the City below the Traveler, whispers and rumors thrown around like Glimmer.
It was at such times that Guardians alike sat down to ease the events of the day away with whatever they could do.
"Boys, please don't ruin the table again. Had to reorder the damn thing so don't break it." A woman spoke up from behind a bar counter, hands gently wiping a glass with practiced ease. Her lithe frame garnered wanted looks from the patrons but none dare to try anything.
After all this was the Blustery Brew, a bar loved by powerful people that protected the City. Guardians came and went like the tide, sharing their stories of loss and bravery, triumph and funny situations in the war out there. They were the saviors of Earth. Their heroes.
"Titan, do not punch the table. This is a refined establishment, not a boxing ring. And for Gods sake, don't spill the beer." The woman chided again and all eyes went to a group of Titans sitting at a table. Their large bodies looked as if they could break the chairs they sat on but the wood proved itself with only a few creaks here and there.
Yes, they were the heroes of the City being scolded like children.
The Titan that was reprimanded grumbled but did what was asked. This earned a hearty smack on the back which turned into a shove and finally escalated into a bar brawl.
No surprise they were booted from the bar. Again.
"God dammit man how many times do we have to get kicked out in order for you to stop punching shit?" One Titan groused, scuffing his boot on the ground. The other Guardians each voiced their complaints, the night air refreshing and sobering up the group the longer they walked.
That is until a body dropped from the rooftops with a hearty 'thud'. Someone screamed. A Titan tripped on their feet. Maybe one Guardian actually stepped away to calm their frantic heart. A flurry of questions were shot at each other before realizing that they had ignored the body on the ground. Turned out it was a Warlock, beaten bloody and bruised. They wouldn't question it, used to seeing many things in their lifetimes. The Titans, ones that were sober, carried the body back to the Tower, lumbering away with footsteps heard from blocks away.
Meanwhile Psych watched with uninterested eyes from the rooftops, hands once again writing in his journal. He watched their trek back to the Tower, uncaring for the Warlock but appreciative for the Titans. Good people they were. Sometimes.
"So what did you need me here for again?" A male voice asked behind him, tone bored but the Exo could hint at the curiosity in there. He didn't need to turn around to know who was there.
"Cygnus." The Hunter behind him huffed, a sign of confirmation to the name, "I needed you here for some hush money problems I might need. Cayde is steaming mad and nobody wants to hang around him when he gets like that. You know I'm not good with money stuff either. I hid mine a while ago too."
"So," Cygnus began, "you called me from the Tower, made me watch you beat the hell out of a Warlock, toss him off a one story roof, and then tell me why I'm here? Sounds fun." The Hunter groaned at the end, sighing out loud to voice his displeasure.
"Hey that damn floofer started it. He threatened a friend. And we work by our codes, you know that." Psych said in his defense, pocketing his journal before turning to the other Hunter. Cygnus responded with a one finger salute, which turned into a pat on the back when Psych passed by him.
Hunters stood up for each other, a code they all knew by heart. Sometimes they squabbled between each other because of this code yet they all still upheld it. Maybe it was a curse. Maybe they were just looking out for each other. Maybe he needed to buy another journal.
"I'll see that it gets done. But you owe me for this. My lady wanted me back an hour ago but watching you beat up a Warlock is worth the tongue lashing I'll get later." Psych nodded, appreciated for the help and jumped down from the building. Cygnus was gone by then, disappeared into the night like a shadow like he was going to do. Sighing, he summoned his Ghost before transmatting back to his dorm.
If he had an organic heart, he'd have a heart attack by finding Drokantoro standing outside his door.
"By the big ball in the sky, Drokantoro! Don't do that!" Psych was about to cuss out the Titan but a large hand stopped his complaints.
"Saw a Warlock come in earlier to med bay." He said, eyeing the Hunter.
Psych stayed quiet.
"Had mighty wounds and was stuttering nonsense. Said 'sorry' over and over again to nobody."
Psych liked the wall all of a sudden, it seemed poetic with its....greyness.
"Wish I was there to see it." That had the Hunter swivel his head up to stare at the other Exo. Drokantoro had the semblance of a smile on his mechanical face and gave him a good punch to the arm. Dear gods it was dented when his fist pulled away.
"See you later, Psych." And with that, the Titan was gone. It took a few seconds for Psych to register the fading presence which prompted his Ghost to appear.
"I say, you make quite the diverse choices in friends, Guardian." It said, blinking.
Psych just walked into his apartment, laughing too hard that he had his neighbors complaining.
