"Anri. You seem new, although the sword is...familiar. That is Mortar's sword, yes?"
-
*Caesar nods* You knew Mortar?
-
"In a way, yes. My entire dimension considered him a hero. A savior."
-
hmm... Well, good to know that he was doing good.
-
"Yes, he was. Until the...incident in the arena... He overpowered himself against Smough and ended up..."
-
Say no more, I have heard of his death. Which is why I have his blade. Sort of a way to let him live on.
-
"He seemed like a good person. Helpful, kind. Atleast, I knew him as that type."
-
He was noble, and seemed to like to help people. Few people are like this nowadays. He will be missed.
-
"Agreed. So...where did you come from? I've never seen armor like...that."
-
I was from the Old Underworld. It was a great place before Mortar's father killed all of my family, with me as the exception, because they couldn't find me. His father created the Royal Underworld. So I swore revenge on the family. The first war beasts destroyed my arms and legs, so all my limbs are prosthetic. Mortar grew up to be the strongest of them all, so I sided with him when he revolted against his dad. As for my armor? The plates are a valhite adamantium alloy. The chainmail is valhite, except for the chains under the plates. Those are carbon fiber. Under this is a heat proof gel that can cushion blows.
-
"Hmm. Interesting..."
-
I guess. Eh, it's normal for me
-
"I've dealt with the loss of my entire family too. Along with a dear friend."
-
I'm sorry, I did not know.
-
"No, no...you're fine."
-
*Caesar nods* So...
-
"Yes?"
-
I dunno, I think this conversation has just been... warn down.
-
"Hmm. You wanna hear my story?"
-
Why not. I've got time to kill. *Caesar sits down, looking around* So long as Cyan doesn't see me.
-
"Why is it bad if Cyan sees you?"
-
Considering I tried to kill her family...
-
"Oh...right."
-
Please, tell me.
-
"My story? Very well. Started out as a villager. Not even 8 when my entire village was captured by the Cathedral of the Deep, a sick group of priests that had gone from keeping the Deep locked away to worshipping it. They sacrificed us to...Aldrich. A cannibal... Along with another child named Horace, I escaped. And left all of the others behind..."
